Czech here born and bred. I saw the headline and did a double take thinking you can’t be possibly talking about…
Taky jsem se zasekla jakože "WTF tu dělá stará Švorcová" a kontrolovala, že jsem správně na MDL XDDD
Great article, @Ebisuno92! I hate most of the normalization CSTV production, Žena za pultem is not an exception cause those times were a horrible mess but I would watch the japanese version you presented cause the core stuff is ageless. Thanks :)
I am waiting for more episodes to come out before devouring it whole cause the first few were pure gold. Lee Dam is my spirit animal and her love for meat, the scene when she gets her period or her evasion tactics are the best things I saw in a long time. My only problem is the two male leads look too simmilar to me so in a couple scenes when I wasn´t fully paying attention I was like "wait, is it sunbae or foxy?". But they are both cute so :D
I like your review. I was very happy with the concept and first couple episodes but it gets so "weird" after a while. I dont know how to describe it, it´s just a feeling of being irritated with FL tunnel vision and the miscommunication of main characters.
Also regarding the heart disease. Shortness of breath which might manifest as coughing is one of the things that happen when you have arrythmia. So I get the connection since it did happen to me a couple times. I dont know what heart disease did HanShuo have but his reactions made sense to me. Someone with medical background would probably explain better thou :)
I dropped so many dramas during the pandemic, mainly because I was not in the mood for that type of story, or it got too boring or just plain stupid. There was one a picked back up just because I was soooo bored at work and what a delight it was to watch it till the end. I dont even remember what iritated me with "Tale of the nine-taled" but I just couldnt get past the first few episodes. Came back couple months later, finished it in two weeks, cried like a baby, watched dozens of FMV´s on youtube and became a "wookie" XD Also started rewatching Goblin cause why not :D
I cracked up so bad on the "oh sweet summer child.. " Lmao and yea I'm very new! It's been 15 yrs for you, I was…
Just hang in there, always look outside your comfort zone and many years later you'll find yourself still in love with your first dramas as you are today 😊 There are many I don't remember watching, some I would like to forget (some to watch for the first time again now when I'm older), a lot I found naive and stupid and would not watch again even though I loved them back then... Also, did I mention I almost missed my high school graduation cause I needed to se Kimi wa Petto finale with Matsujun? 😅
"... it's been 1 year, 7 months, and 9 days since I got into dramas, but who's counting." Oh my sweet summer child <3 It´s been more than 15 years for me, Johnnies were just starting with Nobuta wo Produce and Hana Yori Dango, and Gokusen was the best idol drama there was. Hyun Bin was a young cutie pie in Sam-soon, Fahrenheit were KO-oneing it on all fronts and Mike He was the sexiest Devil beside us. We were young, naive and madly in love with anything that had English subtitles (forever thankful to d-addicts and the community there). What a journey it was ^_^
