Um honestly I agree with the fact that the female lead's role was supposed to be built in a very "cute and stupid" personality, and got a little out of hand. But I don't think it's really appropriate to use the FL's looks as a way to judge. This is just from an outside point of view.

Well, first of all, most of the titles, headlines etc are just translated from Chinese to English. So the native title for this drama is "大约是爱", which means "About Love". And of course because the people translating this probably just put it in their own translating system and the English title became "About is Love". Hope this helps explain :)

I'm kind of close to the end of the drama, and I'm really eager to finish it. Honestly, not bc I really like this drama, but bc I want to watch something else interesting. So far, the leads have like 0 progress in their relationship. I like the cast a lot, just not the plot...

You’re welcome! I just took a look at your profile and you’ve watched like way more dramas than me XD but there is one that is “Love the Way you Are” and another one is “I’ve Fallen for You” and those are pretty good c-dramas. I’ve also seen that “The Long Ballad” is good according to other people

There are two love triangles actually, but the second one doesn't appear until later in the story, which is the other male who likes the FL. Though he isn't as possessive as the other female who likes the ML. The love triangle isn't as bad as the one in most dramas, but its still pretty severe. The FL isn't really naïve, since she has a huge responsibility to protect her twin sister. But the FL isn't smart academically, while the ML is. Yes, there is a breakup, but they get back together. If you don't think this drama fits you, I'd be happy to send some recommendations. Hope this helps :)

Zhao Lusi is acting in a new drama now recently, and it is currently streaming. "A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College" is the title, so I recommend you watch it if you like Lusi. She's an amazing actress, and that drama seems to have good ratings so far.

I love Zhao Lusi too (that's the only reason why I watched this drama) and yeah the second half gets messy. I don't blame you for dropping it, but personally I don't like dropping dramas so I just watched to the end.

I've been to China before since I have relatives there. I don't really know much about young Chinese relationships, but of course the drama would be close to reality but modified in ways to make it more story-like. Not all females are naïve in China, they are actually very smart too (as long as their parents push them to study hard). So most of the stuff in dramas are reality based, but the character personalities are definitely made differently to create a more interesting story. Hope this helps!

Of course! I always try to write positive reviews, since I know dramas take a lot of effort to film and make. But I also consider the negative points. I just think that this drama has a lot of potential for a better ending, but since you also love Zhao Lusi and Liu Te, then keep watching! It's a good drama with those two! 😊

It's difficult to say, since it really depends on what you like. I'm a pretty open person when it comes to dramas, so this one was average for me, and I would recommend watching it.

I agree with everything you said above, the storyline just kind of got messed up at the end, but it was still a good drama overall.
