Watching the second episode and wondering why I miss the 10 min. episodes Korean bl are known for. Lots of talking. Now I understand why the other bl shows have 2dozen ships in and 1h eps.
Wow, I'm a big softy after all. Intouch's "Thank you" to Pharm went straight to my chest. and brought tears to my eyes (me who was annoyed with all the tearing up in that show LoL). Ouf! Good show, great story and production. Still in a school environment but it was something interesting in this genre. The execution of the story was annoying and some of the characters were a bit useless (looking at you Alex, Dej). The fluctuating chemistry between the leads (Pharm and Dean), the stretching of moments and repetitive flash-backs (to fill and 1h episode, I guess), the annoying music/singing cues and the "Leftovers" (what i call the suppose "support characters" without much/any development) being shipped nearly out of nowhere, at the last minute could have took me out of the story. But I was invested in the families dynamics, wanted to see how they were going to play this out (i kept asking for an exorcist ^^ but i like the ending). The actor playing Intouch was great, touching.
I stopped watching anime religiously a long time ago same for reading mangas, I only stood by anything Berserk,…
I watched the anime and the movie, read the mangas. Verdict : the live series is a good enough adaptation of the manga series. The actors chosen for Akihiko and Haruki are a bit off, IMO, but nothing dramatic. They omitted Mafuyu's 3rd friend, Shizusumi, for some reason, this tells me they probably wont make a 2nd season. Could surprise me. All to say, I don't understand all the crying in the comment section. It seems I'm more musically oriented because none of the manga adaptations moved me until their songs. Mafuyu's song, Melody Lane, from the Given-live-action moved me the most. The ending song Bokura Dake no Shudaika by Centimillimental from the animation movie was the second one to bring me to tears. The mangas are great and goes deeper in the angst going through all the main 4 characters so if you want to get more from this it's a good place to start.
for those saying euisoo is only in it for the money...do you really think it's that simple??first of all, acting…
Thank you. I didn't understand why they were saying he was doing it for the money. The show is 15 min. long, 8 episodes, how much money can one make out of that? Does he get that much money from sponsors and publicity acting in BL shows?
I stopped watching anime religiously a long time ago same for reading mangas, I only stood by anything Berserk, that's it. More than 10 years later, I can't believe this series got me back to anime. Reading everyone saying the animation is better while this live version brought tears to my eyes when Mafuyu sang at the end... I have to watch for myself.
They were probably trying to make a series. There's an 11 min. part 2, where the "private teacher" is looking for his "ward". Can't find more info on the Net, though.
C'était trop l'fun^^ J'ai même pris du temps sur mon heure de dîner pour finir le dernier épisode. Un bon soap-opera, short and sweet. Pas un pour rattraper l'autre, ils se méritaient tous, au final. Je sais qu'on était sensé prendrebpour Preuk, mais ses valeurs et sa soif de vengeance me le rendait tout aissi repoussant que les trois autres.
