Based on novel, he is not a villain. He is head of premier pleasure house and later head of intelligent service. He is FL's best friend who like FL but FL always just thought of him as a friend. His role is so so, quiet important but not that often comes up in the story. He stand on ML & FL side. If drama follow novel which I hope so, even though he like FL but he won't be crazy obsessed SML who slowly become villain.
