I feel the same way and very disappointed because the rest of the story looks interesting. I was already annoyed with ep1 but decided to give ep2 a try in case they progressed the story past the whole Africa subplot, but alas it seems like it's hear to stay. It really kills the vibe everytime they use it too. It's 2022 and we still have this bs portrayal of Africa "the country".
I binged until ep8 in two days and I'm enjoying this show so far. Interesting concept and the execution is so far quite good. I just pray they don't rush the ending or add unnecessary drama/plot twists
