Well done Matt! I said from the beginning that this was not a boy meets girl, ups and downs, gets married and lives happily ever after drama. You are absolutely correct in that this was a story about Doom. It was all about redemption and salvation and the high price Doom had to pay to receive his eventual gift God. Watching him evolve over the course of the drama required pretty astute observation and if you were looking for that "happy go lucky" deal, you would have missed them. Did anyone ever wonder why his picture looked different in the beginning to everyone but they all recognized him in the end as his true self. Doom is always masked so none of us see it coming.
You actually have to watch this twice to catch all the little nuisances and subtle hints about his evolution. TDK was his redemption and in real life we don't always get what we desire or love. Everything comes with a price and ultimately he finally learned that you have to sacrifice yourself to save others. His salvation came when God acknowledged his sacrifice for love.
The second story I agree with all. It just took up valuable air time and totally predictable. Could have spent more time with Doom, which by the way, this Grandma would call amazing "eye candy"! Whew! You're never to old...😉
I loved all the comments about men versus women viewers. I'm sure my age group (70+) watched because we would love to make a deal with Doom to reduce aging.😊 All in all Inthought it was well and disappointed with ratings. When compared to Vincenzo which was action packed, most people over looked the fact that he was a brutal killer. Didn't fall i to that Anti-hero category for me. Anyway, 5hanks Matt for your due deligence with and outstanding review.
