Since it’s a Netflix original, I think it’s still quite understandable to be released (at least) one year after it’s wrapped up filming? Considering the post-production and the queue of numerous other originals.
The latest info says that the filming will go until February 2024, but I’m still optimistic they will release it sometime in Q4 2024 🥲
actually some transphobic ppl spammed bad ratings after episode 3, but it's back up to 8.1 now! yay!
Yeah, sadly it’s also one of the reasons for this drama. However, I’ve encountered quite many dramas with low ratings simply because of the reasons I said. Looking at the comment section (of those dramas), there are people saying things like “I would’ve rated it higher if there’s romance” or “it’s so bad because they’re not endgame” or anything like that. Visual and popularity of the (lead) actors can also be the rating factors.
Here comes again, another drama that got rating bombs. Most likely because it wasn’t led by young and attratctive male and female leads. Even worse, because there’s barely to no loveline to be hyped up. Not surprised at all 🙂
As for me, this is the first time after a few years until I’m finally invested in a saeguk drama again. This drama led by the queen is such a breah of fresh air for me.
From what my friend told me (she browsed through korean web forum) : 1. The four seasons are not just literal, but also metaphorical for the four stages of their lives (high school, college/early 20s, mid 20s, and early 30s). 2. IU most likely will be the FL. I think they will release the confirmation news once they already settled with the ML and about to start filming. Basically just like other drama projects. 3. Based on the description, the ML would be around IU’s age with youthful visual. I think it would be an actor around 95 to 92 liners.
Anyway, I’m really excited and looking forward to this 🙌
Yes-yes, Park Seo Joon was in a Korean restaurant yesterday, and the restaurant's staff shared a photo about Seo…
Was he with the other actors? There's still no single sight or any mention of IU and other actors. Even the latest article on Naver only said that PSJ was the last person to go because the others already left for Hungary.
Finally, new drama from Park Haeyoung. Hopefully, this will have the same nuance as My Mister. I love My Mister so much and I think 'dark' and heart-wrenching slice of life suits my preference more.
This might be far-fetched, but if there will be cameo appearance from My Mister's cast especially Lee Jian (IU), I will definitely cry my heart out 😭
I find that the story between Na Heedo and Go Yurim is somehow more interesting (it probably will gain more attention too?), but since it's not the main plot and this drama isn't multiple leads type, it most likely be sidelined along the way.
I just finished Bad Buddy and all I can say is... Believe the hype!!!
For someone who is VERY selective and skeptical when it comes to light-hearted rom-com/romance, Bad Buddy is definitely a perfect one for me. Not just in BL, but also in general. Well, the plot was nothing extraordinary. There's even flaws here and there, but I could care less because Ohm and Nanon delivered great performance and chemistry. I mean, you could clearly see that they weren't just doing a great job, but they also cherished this series so much just like the rest of us. I think that's why Bad Buddy left such a deep impression to me (or the rest of us lol).
I often get bored easily watching this kind of series, but I felt like each episode was so short even though it was actually 55 minutes/episode. I think I really enjoy it so much that I want it to have more episodes like 20 or even 50 as long as I can see Ohm and Nanon in action. Gosh, I love them so much and I just can't get enough of them 😭❤
So they're adapting both Money Game and Pie Game (the sequel) into just 8 episodes? Curious how they'd do that…
I think they will only pick up the important plot points from both webtoons for the adaptation. As for the characters, they most likely will keep the protagonist and create a new set of characters.
I love that they don't try too hard to be "complicated" or go crazy on plot twists like many others. They're basically having fun here which I personally find it such a sight for sore eyes 👏
I'm usually not into romance/rom-com, but this one seems promising and exciting. Also from the trailer, it gives me the vibes of Le Coup De Foudre. Especially the commentary shots 😅
After seeing her performance in My Mister, Persona, and Shades of The Heart, I'm so certain that she would be great playing in art house movies. Not to mention how idealistic she could be when it comes to her artistic value. I was beyond surprised when she was cast on Kore-eda's movie. It felt like a dream came true. I mean, it's something that most likely would happen, but never knew that it happened so soon. Hopefully, IU will be involved in more art house movies in the future. I know this kind of movie is definitely not for everyone, but IU's talent is just too precious to be wasted. My personal dream project will be IU playing in Bong Joon Ho's movie. As for the drama, I think it will be fair if she joins in a more mainstream and crowd-pleasing one like Moon Lovers and Hotel del Luna.
Some of the titles this year were already made in 2022 but only being released in 2024. Although ngl I’m already so desperate to watch this 😭
