Title Live Up to Your Name Spoiler
Wow, this was actually such a fun drama! I really had no idea it would end up being this good. My favourite thing has to be how multidimensional both of the main characters are. They both have interesting backstories and their personalities actually feel like a genuine reflection of that. The character development is also done perfectly.

They both (especially the female lead) also almost always made decisions and had reactions that made perfect sense with the situation and their characters, rather than just being for the sake of moving the plot forward. For once I actually almost always agreed with what the characters were doing. I also loved how at first, both main characters are clearly set up as foil characters to each other, but slowly it's developed just how similar to each other in what they believe and how they work as doctors. It made the two falling in love (specifically the female lead falling) actually feel realistic as they learned more about each other rather than just being an "opposites attract" for no reason kind of story.

The use of time travel was also sooo good! Them moving back and forth consistently kept the plot fresh and also gave the characters so much more depth, as we got to see them in all sorts of situations. The fish out of water aspect was also a lot of fun to watch.

Is it worth the watch even if you don't usually like historical dramas? Tbh they're not usually my thing but this one has so much praise surrounding it, I sorta want to give it a shot.

A super solid addition to the time loop genre! They didn't bother with any filler and kept it tight knit and well written the whole way through.
On Extraordinary You Jul 9, 2023
Wasted potential. The drama was just so much fun ... untill it wasn't. The plot setup in the first half was great. From there, there were so many creative directions the story could have gone and plenty of opportunities for interesting plot twists too. But instead, the story eventually just began to get repetitive, character development became non-existent and it almost felt as if the writers were stalling so they could come up with a viable way to end the story and solve a lot of the questions viewers would have. In the end, they still failed with the ending and just sorta left it riddled with holes ??

As for Haru. I honestly did like him at the beginning but then his character just remained so static and honestly lacking in personality. Even if they had just just given the guy personality, maybe like a fun, carefree one with his own goals, it would have easily made the show 5 times better. Imagine a talkative Haru with his own ideas, who butts heads a bit with Dan Oh at the beginning before they eventually decide to work together to uncover stuff about the world around them. Then all of their interactions would have at the very least, been entertaining to watch.

Hmmm I really wanted to like this one, but for some reason I just didn't?? I feel like this is one that you either get really into with just a few episodes in ... or you just don't and its hard for it to really grow on you after that. I did really like the OST though, and the acting was great, maybe I'll give it another shot after a few years.

Despite having re-watched this drama a countless number of times, the last dozen or so episodes will also never fail to make me cry too. The way each family member reacts and deals with their grief was and still is one of the most heartbreaking portrayals of mourning I have ever watched. Most of the characters in this show are deeply flawed, especially the mother herself, but somehow I feel like that for the most part (ignoring some of the more outlandish moments in the drama) made them feel more realistic and the show more touching as a result.
On All about My Mom Jul 9, 2023
Not a masterpiece by any means and I totally understand the complaints about some of the characters who were admittedly quite frustrating at times, but this was my first ever drama and it will always have a special place in my heart. Each of the romance's were memorable in their own way and the bonds forged between certain characters were also beautifully developed. Throughout the course of this drama you really do feel like you become a part of the family, albeit a complicated, messy and sometimes difficult one.

So much better than I thought it would be! I honestly started this one on a whim but it ended up becoming so addicting. Anyone who enjoys heist-centred plots needs to watch this - it has the same level of suspense and excitement but for 12 whole episodes.

SO DANG GOOD. The cinematography, the suspense, the emotion, THE ACTING!!!!

Althoughhh, idk if I'm the only one who felt this way but I found the music (instrumental) in some scenes a bit ... extra. There were practically full ominous choirs going at it in the background at times, and at least to me it made some scenes, that on their own were already incredibly intense, feel a bit too soap opera - ey with the music. I feel like especially since they did so well trying this for other aspects in this show, going down a more creepy, less-is-more route with the music could have honestly made a lot of the scenes way more immersive.

I know there are plenty of other dramas that do a similar thing with instrumentals, but idk, I just especially noticed it here.
On Marriage, Not Dating Mar 31, 2022
Yes yes, its overdramatic, a little cliché, over-acted and the plot seems to go in circles at times. But honestly that's the beauty of it, Marriage not dating is the ultimate hilarious/absurd guilty pleasure, great to watch when you just wanna have a good time. Don't think too hard about it, and just appreciate it in all its fun!

Soo difficult to find complete, good quality subbed episodes, but even still definitely my all time favorite Korean sitcom.

The humor is incredibly character driven, and since each character is so fleshed out, unique and (SOO) well casted it makes for an extremely entertaining show. I will forever be a re watching as a comfort show.

Watch we best love also. Taiwanese dramas are more subtley mature in comparison to kdrama, jdramas , Filipino…
ohh okay, thank you! I will add it to my watch list.

Ahhh this drama was SO GOODDDD. Its already been a week since I finished but I can't stop thinking about it. To anyone who sees this comment, I'm telling you WATCH THIS DRAMA. And try going into it knowing as little as possible too, the less you know about this one the better it is to watch. :)
