Sadly she still thinks her safe choice man is the one that saved them on the island when he actually only killed…
I kinda liked the guy at first. He said he wasn't the one who killed them all at first then when he fell in love with her, he just admit it. I guess he became pathetic when in love and couldn't afford to lose her neither be shamed in public so he took that kinda of decision...will se how his character ends up in pt 2. Hope they won't just kill him off to resolve it.
(Spoiler for the ending, but needed to say it OUTLOUD) Gil Chae's choice at the end truly made sense. The ppl who said that she fixated on an engaged man for so long and forgot abt Jang Hyun easily. This is a wrong reading of her character. Her choice at the end to stay rather than going with Jang Hyun is showing her character development. At first, she used to follow her wants...the woman she became sacrificed her true love for her family that's why she made the realistic decision of staying and choosing "the safe man" for her and her family rather than risking it all on the uncertainity Jang Hyun represents. Also, we shall all remember that the Jang hyun we see isn't the same one she sees. He may be a hero in our view, but he only does all the heroic things when she's not looking at him, so she doesn't rly know all what we know abt him. Her choice of staying resonated with her character arc and dev and made her one of my fav FLs
(Spoiler for the ending, but needed to say it OUTLOUD) What truly frustrated me abt this and dropped it from a 1000 to 8.5/10 type of show for me is that we only got to see the best of the characters and that they truly cared for each other when they were separate, like none of them showed what they felt was real and just kept on teasing each other when they're together. Lol the irony is that the dude stopped a freaking war for her and left his best friend bc he lied to her, but when he's with her, he only shows his teasing clown side UGGHHH. If I didn't already fall for him, I'll be cursing Jang Hyun by now. The good part abt is that if not for all these misunderstandings and frustrations, I doubt we'd have seen such a satisfying growing journey of Gil Chae. Lol this show can be titled "Gil Chae's Growth," and I'm all here for it. Maybe this will serve us a great second part when they both understand how stupid they were for not showing their true feelings and vulnerability to each other and they both grow as a couple in pt 2

I normally don't comment on reviews but you so eloquently described my feelings towards hospital playlist! I too…
thank u for reading responding♡ I just wrote this as a personal note, thinking it's too long for someone to read :) I'm glad it resonated with you and that HP had been a solace for you in a rough time. I'm sure you'll enjoy the rewatch as u understand the characters more and get to appreciate them. Congrats on graduation too...rooting for your success in whatever you do after uni ♡
