Agree with you, I also love the way Timmy Xu portraying Pei XingJian, very conventional and classic like in literature. Some scenes with LiuLi from ss 1 such as the part of the couple eating and chatting at Bu Lu Yuan feel the vibe of 1987's Dream of Red Mansion.
