Nirvana in Fire, "first season" is the main story and best. It is regarded the best Chinese drama ever and it is quite long. Has many names to characters and many many characters. It is series that you really need to focus on. Like reading a book, but as it is the same with this drama, you might give it a go.
This is actually a really good drama. It fits well for the likes like Nirvana in Fire, even though it is shorter. It has a more serious tone. Seems to have no romance, that I like. The sets, costumes, cinematography, music, all are great. Same thing can be said about the actors and actresses. The main character is very complex. But he is not a good guy either.
The way the story is told... I suspect it to have a bitter sweet ending.
This series is so well made, that I won't drop it because of one scene and maybe other editing. JinD could not be aired if those were not done. The cast and crew did phenomenal job. Even if I am bummed I will support the work they did. Over all the editing is not their fault, but it was ordered for them to do. I am happy that the series can be at least completed.
Remember that Ga On's mentor / professor wants Ga On to take Yo Han down. Ga On can do that easier if he's living…
There is the spying but in reality, Yohan wanted Gaon there to stay and by curiosity Gaon wanted to stay there too. It does not need to be told. Not everything needs to be told. It is sensed from the characters.
In the original script it was clearer. Yohan blew up Gaon's flat to keep him there, but I like that it was their choice. ๐
