The identity-reveal scene was majestic! Right from the mood, to the graphics, the BGM and expressions on the characters on screen! It was super dramatic, and got to say, I enjoyed it.Much stuff has happened here, but this was my highlight.
Previous episode had that unnecessary plotline (which was foreshadowed tbh by waaaaaay too much forever promises) and I was giving it the benefit of doubt until it turns out, the reasoning, OBJECTIVELY was weak.Someone please make more couples that communicate everything instead of giving up and causing huge misunderstandings!!! All these are fictional anyway, can't there be perfect couple too 😭😭-------------------------------------------------------------At least the second couple is a win
I was a not too fond of the female MC, no matter what until the very last scene. Maybe my opinion about the FL remained, but the actor who portrayed her now has my admiration! The graphics, to me, is just beautiful. So are the people.
I had some revelation about something very very basic. Maybe it's not even the first time I am realising this? But feels like it is.Started watching Cherry Magic (Thai ver). Even though I am super biased to the Japanese live adaptation, I decided I can only give the Thai version a fair-ish shot if I considered it as something new and do my best not to compare. I'm only in one episode and while I appreciate the cultural difference incorporated, I wish they kept Karan's character closer to Kurosawa. No, it doesn't make the series better or worse if I think about it, it's just a preference. Because Kurosawa's cute thoughts were what endeared me to the character - even when madly in love, until he is actually closer to Adachi's even his fantasies are just his crush looking cute, adorable or sexy after a shower wearing PJs. That's only the extent he lets himself even fantasize, and that's the defining point which made me realise how these two versions are different for me. Thai version is a fun, romantic watch; Japanese is my comfort series. Just like comfort food you look for when you are sick - something you are attached to, something that will make you feel better - varies with people. Mine is simple, sweet, without much complications, and the (unreal) purity of Japanese series made me very attached to it. Like incredibly biased. That said, the first episode was a fun watch, with difference in persona, living and working situations reminding me this is an adaptation - all these points were wonderful. I guess I can say it's no "30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii" but I do like it in a different way.(There is one thing I am biased to here and it's Tae Tawan's smile so.. 🤷♀️🤷♀️..first episode ended in a very satisfying note)
I am rating 10 for the last 2 scenes ALONE. Even without that it would've been my average rating of 8 to 9 but, that scene made all the difference to me. Smitten. Two new plot connections - 2 tiny but significant details- were sneaked in the last 5 minutes of episode 21! And they played the imagery so wonderfully, so splendidly! That, plus the background score, made this scene a .. profound experience. Even the previous scene building up to this moment was good direction! It was an unexpected experience, I loved it.
When most murders in this drama get solved, I empathize more with the perpetrators. And the fact that all murderers seem to be inevitably executed is a pretty good enough explanation for why every single crime has an Agatha Christie plot. The crimes are well thought out, hoping to avoid the death row. But the fact that the killers who know they are in the right, are often ready to face the impending death makes me wish that crime wasn't solved after all. They did what was morally right, and they made peace with the fact that they were dying for a rightful cause.
Not that I don't like the way angst and misunderstandings fuel a plot..........Speaking for all the episodes until now --- I LOVE how the characters in here have such open communication, I like how a main lead doesn't take over-possessive shiz from a man who only has an ambiguous relationship with him, I like how all the central supporting characters are all good actors without awkwardness.I know the next episode is designed to make me eat my words - still - I'll take it
