That was my initial impression.. But, once we get passed those episodes I’m actually enjoying this one and episode 16made me so emotional when he showed her the paintings of the future that he envisions in his heart. Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes to upload even with the VIP the wait is killing me. FL was in Honey Don’t Run Away S1 but not in the next seasons anymore. I hope she gets more roles after this drama. And I am also enjoying ML’s other drama, Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, which is also highly recommended.
This is highly recommended! Detective Dee in a drama! All actors are so good at playing their characters even the supporting ones. I’m watching ML’s other drama Love In Time and he’s doing a commendable job in both!

Sigh, you said I’m talking to you like a kid but you are definitely acting like one. And you’re still ranting against an institution from your country on a drama site. I don’t think you really get it. To call the men in blue as the police here in the USA is not defending. It’s another term. I do not deny the fact that every institution has a rotten tomato but your generalization goes beyond. Advising you to relearn the English language is not micro aggression but discourse analysis. Again, read your original comment and review English 101 “I despise the police with my heart and soul” doesn’t mean I don’t like a police genre drama. These 2 are different sentences. If you’re traumatized by the atrocities of an institution in your place of origin go file your complaints there and not here, again, this is a drama site. It’s not being too sensitive it’s common sense, which I don’t think you have based on how you’re ranting against the men in blue, fyi that’s the police here in the USA.
