i know some of yall are not satisfied with some of the characters and the plot, but let me remind you that they're just high school students in the series. do yall really expect they're going to be so smart and logical in everything they do? i am frustrated and disappointed in some parts as well but if you look at it from a bigger angle, everything that they did is actually quite realistic and makes sense. they only did what 18 years olds are capable of doing in a zombie apocalypse. anyways, this is just my take.
"zhai xiaowen acting" is trending on weibo. many people are acknowledging his acting skills. i'm very confident he'll do justice in portraying his character in this drama 😌
if you haven't watched his concurrently airing dramas yet (Dear Parents & Sweet Teeth), give it a try! His acting is actually better than decent, considering that he's an idol.
