that weird feeling that this drama is going go off the rails
it wouldn't be so surprising...we have the secret birth, the contract relationship, the problematic grandma and some characters which could go over the top...
Long dramas require a lot of patience. I mean, as much as we sometimes want only romance for the main leads, these dramas focus a lot of times on ppl we sometimes really can't stand. So... So far, I think it has been very well balanced, and once the couples start all dating might be more so. But be ready for yelling at some characters...it usually happens lol
True. And as much as I like 16 ep dramas, I love long dramas with multiple couples and messy relationships. Even if sometimes my patience runs out bc of the setbacks lol
Imo it’s going to come out sooner than we might expect.
Yes, that grandma is going to make a huge scandal.
I have read that many societies in asia do frown upon ppl getting married to others who are legally related. However, in some dramas they end up downplaying that...big example Young Lady and Gentleman (though that mess should only be used as example of how NOT to do a drama for the most part lol)
According to what was said in an interview the MiRae-HyunJae couple was going to be the 'melodrama' couple, so I guess being related even if legally could play a big part for them.
So far I am enjoying how well balanced everthing has been.
1st Family Drama where I'm rooting for the old Lead couple instead of the young ones... I dropped it after they…
They became one of my fav couples in dramas, no matter what age. They're scenes after they get together were still good though. I just wished they had more scenes.

In some dramas, they tend to make a big issue of ppl getting involved with someone who is legally related even if no blood ties are shared.
So, I wonder who they are going to tackle this here. I think it's going to be huge already once the truth comes out bc MiRae's paternal grandmother does not even know that her DiL is adopted and she's very proud of that family's background.
Tbh I think another factor which could play an important part is if the truth comes out BEFORE MiRae and Hyun Jae start dating officially. That would probably make them try to hide their feelings at first.
