Title The Sound of Magic Spoiler
magic is subjective, the whole point of the movie was that if you believe hard enough, you can make it. i think…
but you did have the explanation of the whole magic part literally in front of you. why else would there be fireworks on the camera, if it was only in her mind? people saw it. there's soooo many different kinds of magic and that was the entire point. the camera recording the crime going off was also magic. several times in the movie, there was magic. there's no actual explanation on how ri-eul made everything happen and how he knew everything. as the ending is very open, we're only left to speculate

also, she barely had money to sustain herself and her sister, her dad left them, she had issues with opening up and never relied on anyone. do you think she has the financial ability and the will to go and see a therapist? realistically speaking? that's why going to the magician, someone who understood her and tried to help and heal her inner child, was the better choice. he was still a kid at heart, regaining what was taken from him. her childhood was also taken from her. that's why they got along — they are very alike. she just needed to find her spark, just like the magician did. he was the only one that didn't give up on her and created his own opinion on her. because he saw a broken child that needed healing, too. the show had incredible metaphorical depth, and as someone who also didn't get to live their childhood and was forced to grow up, i found this extremely healing and very magical.

but, as i mentioned, magic is a very subjective topic. i am not trying to dismiss your opinion or anything, just letting you know there's several ways of seeing magic and not just one. i don't watch dramas to criticize them or for them to grab my attention, maybe try looking at it from a completely different perspective. personally i don't think this drama is any less similar from this year's superman — which is also an amazing cinematographic piece that got completely misunderstood, by the way.
have a nice day ^^

yes, but since everything had been pretty much done as an illusion, we can't be 100% sure sbout it. whether he did or not doesn't matter, lol, the store owner was harassing him and other girls, pretty much deserved

'do you believe in magic?' = 'do you believe in yourself?'because believing in yourself is the magic. that is…
i never attacked you so i don't know where this is coming from, but clearly i'm not the problem since you're throwing words around and calling me mentally ill for... explaining how you clearly didn't get the point of the drama? i am definitely not the problem, lol

the sound of magic isn't boring, i think you may just lack empathy and go according to stereotypes and that's exactly why that drama wasn't for you

I wanted to keep going, I really did but at episode 4 I just dropped it. The title is a bit misleading as you…
'do you believe in magic?' = 'do you believe in yourself?'
because believing in yourself is the magic. that is the entire meaning and the very obvious metaphor behind this series.
i bet you're real fun at parties, especially since you seem to judge objectively and not care about the content
and yes, if you would've finished the drama, you would've known that there was actual magic going on.

Title The Sound of Magic Spoiler
Hm I kinda liked it until the last episode where the character had a history of mental illness and especially…
magic is subjective, the whole point of the movie was that if you believe hard enough, you can make it. i think you completely missed the point of the drama. it's supposed to be hopeful, and the magic of it is that it gets better and that that missing hope was restored in someone's life, just because they believed hard enough :)

on a more realistic note, i would also push someone off if they pretended to be me and tried to pin crimes on my name :3

Title The Sound of Magic Spoiler
seems like im the only one after reading the comments but im acc so confused abt the ending, can someone please…
rieul was found not innocent — but he disappeared, somewhere.

the store owner (which we've seen SA'ing the main female lead, ah-yi) killed seo-ha (do you remember him mentioning the part timer that suddenly quit?), as well as attacked the old lady. in the park, the cameras are broken, but only one of them started working, out of nowhere, for 4 minutes and recording the entire crime. you can see the fireworks going off, the same fireworks that ah-yi and ri-eul saw while they were on the big eye.

so yes, technically, you can say there was magic — the unexpected snowing in the spring, the disappearing letters, the firework, all the stuff ri-eul knew without people having said them. whereas it's not been revealed whether he actually pushed the store owner or not, i firmly believe it was deserved as the store owner has been trying to pin crimes onto him for forever. he mentioned the amusement park to seo-ha (the missing girl), mvrdered her there, continued to dress as the magician (ri-eul) to pin it onto him and escape the consequences of his actions. as magic is a very subjective topic, this movie had a completely different point — and that was that if you believe in yourself and don't let anyone else tell you who you're supposed to be, you can do well. no matter how bad the road gets.
so, i guess, that was the main part of ri-eul's magic. it only happened because there was people that believed in it — and that believed ri-eul.
