I just started watching it! Have watched 2 episodes so far and I'm wondering if the FL is supposed to be rude?

I mean, so far she's not rude at all. She's just good at establishing boundaries and doesn't like nosey people! She just made a mistake (not really a mistake tbh) in ep 2 and everyone’s treating her like she killed their puppy or sth, as if they don't talk about other people behind their backs?
