That's absolutely atrocious. I've not once worked on a set where this would be allowed. But I've been learning a lot about the Thai production industry lately that makes me shake my head. How on earth are they only filming two or three days out of a week sometimes? How are there no sound engineers on set? How do actors sometimes work on three different projects at the same time? How are there no fire and safety regulations? How is there no union to regulate how long crew has to work on set? How is a script for a mock trailer sometimes written ON SET for filming of the mock trailer? How did they write the script for the mocktrailer WITHOUT HAVING READ THE BOOK? They've got an awesome system by implementing workshops but that was it apparently.
Sorry, ranting. But by fuck, GMMTV has got to get their shit together. Yes, Covid hit them hard and everything gets delayed and they have airtime to fill. I get it. But then ffs, do some reruns, take your time but film consistently so it doens't feel like your actors fall out of their roles every time you yell "cut".
I'm really really hoping this series is way more dramatic and mysterious than the trailer makes it seem because why on earth would we need another straight-forward High School romance BL? That not just boring af, it's also a waste of talent! I expected Khao and First to be in something extremely thrilling and high-stakes but honestly, both the trailer and the special left a lot to be desired. Their chemistry rocks and I'm excited to see Neo in a serious role but man has everything I've seen from it so far been a disappointment. I heard that apparently the plot has many twists and there are surprising pairings in this so I'm going to hold out hope but if this turns into another boring as school puppy love romance, I'm seriously going to stop watching GMMTV shows. How do they produce Bad Buddy and Not Me and then only come up with bs after that.
