My little heart was filled when that, "my husband" happened. Please communicate more AHHH!
I read on Weibo and the Chinese translation mentioned "framed my ex-husband" during the press con. Anyone who knows Korean understood the context? I'm really curious if she still regards him publicly as husband or ex husband.
QJJ ... oh why you brought the wine back?YT ... such expensive wine, we should drink it ourselves QJJ...you really…
There was genuine debate on Chinese forums if the wine was fake as JJ claims or real but JJ claiming its fake to soothe YT's ego. I can't really decide since JJ has no qualms about "acting" when it comes to YT 😂
I am aware that most of what was multiple parts of epilogue made it to nearly 10+ eps of the series. However, is…
The introduction to both sides of the parents was different from the novel.
In the novel, JJ only met YT mum after they have dated for sometime and she was mulling what to gift her for their first meeting. She finally decided to bring her laptop with unaired episodes of her drama to his mum after finding out she is a fan of hers. YT mum became the star of her neighbourhood because of this special treatment.
I'm guessing gu man had to tweak this or tencent wud be extremely unhappy :)
Ep 28 is the key to your question Jing jing was explaining it to her manager and assistant. Also on ep 31, he was…
In Chinese culture, a man is typically expected to be the provider/main breadwinner of the family. From a cultural perspective, it is not very common to accept a woman earning way more than the guy. Typically your neighbourhood aunt will gossip to no end.
However, in YT and JJ case, they are both financially independent. I think the situation would have been different if Yutu married a woman who depends financially on him. With JJ being so independent financially, I suppose he has more than enough for himself and his family.
On the note about housing, so there was mention on douban that Yutu's actual unit is around 140 sqm (3R 2B) . JJ also mentioned that Yutu bought it before the housing boom at the price of 20,000 per sqm, putting the price tag of the house at RMB 2.8m. She also mentioned that his mortgage is around 10,000 per month, and that he was still paying off his mortgage in episode 28.
With whom has he had the best chemistry? This is my first drama with him as the ML and if I'm melting now, I'll…
He hasn't had many romance dramas or movies, so reba is probably the most sizzling we have seen so far, especially considering YAMG in the category of adult romance. Another movie that you could try from Yang Yang is "Once upon a time" with liu yi fei, though i'd have to say that the costume in that movie and a noodle making scene were real eye sores.
I really love this show so much!! Can you recommend mo some drama similar to this? Where the male lead fall over…
I enjoyed "love is sweet" when it was aired. Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu was really funny when they were bickering but really sweet after they got together. Female lead is no damsel in distress. Plotline on the main lead is pretty mature but i fast forwarded many of the 2nd lead scenes.
How many of you watched BTS in ep. 25 before the bedroom scene? YY complained to the director why the lines were…
I did, i wondered if he wanted to save the embarassment in saying those things he said in Epi 25 and rather just get into action. Haha, watching it, I have no idea how Yang Yang managed to pull off emanating intense sexual tension when he was just goofing around prior to filming the scene.
Well, I don't think so. Dilraba is really famous in China, and Yang Yang has many fans as well. This show goes…
I'm not really obsessed with the viewership to be honest. I enjoy this drama for its acting, cinematic quality, storyline and the sense of escapism it gives me. I am not sure where the benchmark of 5 billion views came from and at what level of cutoff and why the insistence that this drama is not doing good despite it trending heavily on chinese social media, recognition from media company (Vlink) and featured in countless news article about the dawn of "summer blockbuster". When comparing to other dramas, we should also take into account of the number of platforms that it is being aired on.
Let's enjoy the ride while it is still airing. If it is a good production, it will find its audience and advertisers to realize its commercial value :)

I read Chinese and go on weibo and douban even though I am not of Chinese nationality. The cummulative view so far is 1.3bn in China as at 5pm today, I'd say its a pretty commendable feat for a series which has been out for just 10 days. On the first day of broadcast, tencent actually advertised the fact that it was the most succesful series in the past 2 years. Considering that the broadcast period is coinciding with the Olympics, many in China regard this as pretty good achievement. Based on the social media popularity stats, YAMG is far ahead of other dramas at the moment including the popularity of both leads.
I know some people may have problem with Fl's screentime, but if you read the novel you will understand they are…
Actually, I don't understand the criticism about the lack of female leads scene in the past 4 episodes. I would rather it maintain the current flow than to have random scenes cut to JJ being moody while being apart adding no real value to the narrative of the story. Up till ep14, we have always seen JJ being expressive of her love for YT from her point of view. We never really got to have an in depth view of how much YT likes JJ and I appreciate the last 4 epi being dedicated to YT exploring and having internal debates about how much he loves JJ. Even during his work time, you could sense that he is a broken man from him rejecting JJ while being constantly reminded of JJ by his friends, colleagues or even the ads around him. Anyways, we will have a good share of their sweet times from next week onwards, that should be able to address some of the criticisms in this thread.
