I started watching this series and I nearly wanted to rage quit not even halfway through episode 1 itself. Can someone please enlighten me ?? Can I proceed to watch Dark Blue Kiss without watching this series ?
I knew he is a good actor, I had watched a few of his works and have always been impressed by his acting. But looking at the list of awards received and achievement, it really drives home just how amazing he is why even fellow actors and actresses are his fans.
It's not a Thai show if it doesn't have life lessons and moral values in them. Even a Thai horror show can make me cry. Overall, I loved this series. As a person who has nearly zero tolerance for horror genre, I appreciate that not all the episodes are super scary. I appreciated some of the comedic elements and even some of the more emotional scenes. Thai shows have always managed to include other genres and elements into their episodes outside of the main theme of the show and I like it.
Sanrak has got to be one of the worst, stupidest, most ignorant, most naive female character in the world of bad, stupid, ignorant, naive female characters. Allows herself to be delusional in a relationship where the guy is cheating on her and has done her wrong multiple times in the past, lets that trash of a red flag cause her to make a huge mistake at work, AND THEN blurts out internal information to an outsider just because she stupidly thinks that will relieve Jane from being berated by an overly entitled model. It's like the writers want to portray exactly how NOT to be an independent functional adult. Congratulations then if that's the case.
Good to know i shall prepare myself hahaha and i agree with ya 😉
I keep forgetting never to expect a straightforward theme with Thai shows hahaha But I guess it's good too, I get to have this "omg, that was better than I expected, holy shit" moment lol
I never should have trusted this series. I should have known better. I have watched plenty of heart-breaking Thai ads, ads with massive plot twists. I have watched my fair share of Thai series too that have thrown my through multiple plot twists and defy my expectations on what the series will show me. I should have know better than to trust a Thai series.
I thought this will be a light-hearted series, looking at the 6 actors and knowing how chaotic they can be, and I figured, GMM probably is doing this for the fan service, giving us the Holy Trinity in the same series even if it's not the BL theme we are familiar with, and maybe just confuse us with some vague hints cuz why the hell not. But no. It's light-hearted yes but it also address some heavy issues, family issues, phobias, relationships and is making me cry more than I thought it would. Never trust a Thai series. They always throw something unexpected at you.
Hey, this feels like reading my sentiments! And I too just started watching SOTUS and only started my BL journey…
Yes! I am looking forward to the show that Singto and Fluke are gonna be in. Fluke is a good actor too, the show can't be that bad, I hope!
I generally dislike romance all my life, I never understood what's so nice about watching/reading about people falling in love. BL romance is the only one I tolerate cuz two guys are less likely to act like the idiotic female characters that authors create. Though, sometimes characters in BLs are super idiots too (pokes Khai with a dagger). But eh... there's literally DOUBLE the handsome men to look at, so, it's okay.

Funny thing is, it was precisely this shipping culture that sent OffGun my way. Saw videos of them on social media, got curious, googled and found an old page written about them during the time when Theory of Love hadn't aired yet. So, I decided to watch Theory of Love.... and that was when Gun caught my attention. HE CRIED IN ALMOST EPISODE, there was so much pain, I was cursing Khai every second I was watching the series lol And then after that, I watched Not Me. I had been so impressed with how he acted as dual role Black/White, so I went hunting for his shows, then I saw many fans praising him for his work in The Gifted, so I watched it too. And fcking hell, he did 5 personalities in that one scene and I am just blown away.
In regards to Singto, I am still watching Sotus S now, I haven't started looking for his other shows yet but I think I saw one where he and Ohm Pawat is a couple ? (the Ohm from OhmNanon) I am curious about that just because I wanna see what that pairing would look like since I also heard that Ohm had acted in 5 BL series before Bad Buddy with Nanon lol

Yeah, Thai actors. I marked Gun Atthaphan, Fluke Natouch and Singto so far, to check out their other shows. The Gifted! I finished watching that already, after watching Not Me and seeing Gun's acting skills. The Gifted Graduation is next on my list.

Well, for me, it helps that I have now discovered a few actors whose acting I like the most and I am trying to hunt down their other shows too outside of BLs.

I started my journey in early 2021 after TharnType 2 finished airing but they were still on promotions. Yes, it was MewGulf who caught my attention cuz they were trending several times and I got curious "Who and what is mewgulf and why are they trending?" And from there, I started diving into more BLs. It feels like there is so much shows to watch >.<
I don't know why I only found this show and started watching it in 2022. And let me tell you, after watching many other BL series released in 2019 to 2022, watching SOTUS now, it is definitely a whole other level. It's definitely an iconic series. Despite it having the engineering/uni & beach trope that is so overused in many subsequent series after it, SOTUS doesn't feel like it falls in the same category somehow. Many shows when it has passed a period of time, you can usually get the feeling "Oh, this is definitely an old show" and it has an outdated vibe to its filming and acting. But for SOTUS, other than the hairstyle, everything else feels almost timeless, which is very rare. Because I have watched old shows from other industries before, the "older" show vibes is always very palpable. But SOTUS just feels timeless. Now, I truly understand why this show has such a huge following and is said to be an iconic show and has such an impact on the industry.
I originally wanted to watch this because of the cast but after seeing so many complains about the show here, I no longer feel angry that GMM has hidden all the Blacklist episodes on their channel. Good riddance.
Is there any explanation on what is this ? Is it a show ? Or what ? Because I have no idea what on earth this is and there is nobody explaining anything.
This is probably the only "horror" show where I end up laughing throughout I don't even know what the hell am I watching omg lol I just know, I am laughing a lot
