Ooooh yes i totally agree with you. I appreaciate when themes like woman's empowerement are embedded into a drama, but overtime they become caricature-ish and trope-y. And sometimes it just doesnt make a lot of sense given the ancient time backdrop.

XQ is such a refreshing balance between strong, empowered woman who is still nonetheless product of her era!

I actually thought it was quite refreshing to have the FL and ML be at the receiving end help and luck. Usually they write drama main characters as OP. In this one, our couple is more human - they make mistakes, gets cornered, hang by the thread and be at the mercy of others.

Even FYX partial healing is impactful and gives for a punchy ending. It's like real life, no one lives with complete peace. Living in the present and making do with what u have is a choice we must make daily..

I love the last 5 ep. It is exhausting and twisty, i agree. But i think it's worth it😊
