That makes sense and fits with the theme of the show. The ending still stings a little, but I am still satisfied with it. I think he will come back in some way - that’s my interpretation of it. He died right around Easter, and Easter celebrates resurrection. It looked like the voice of God spoke to him at the end as well, and he vanished. He will probably be reincarnated somehow.

Man, whoever wrote this show really hated Toktang and Juno...
I agree, it was bad... the most character development they had was in the first/2nd episodes. Other than that, they were just there to cause drama between Sun and Sky. I still can't get over that in their final scene six years later, all they had to say was "I'm fine". I hope some of these actors/actresses get better roles soon. I enjoyed Golden Blood, but I do feel bad for them.
