I don't know what to say but I hate this 'I have changed him' trope in the MewTop relationship. We all know all the relationships are f*ed up in their own specific way but every time I see Mew and Top on screen I wanna crawl into a hole. I grew up with all the heteronormative ''romantic'' movies where a guy did a 180 in his personality just he met an innocent girl who's so ''different'' from the others. Like what? He gave up his whole lifestyle for that dude... Honestly, love can change people but people changing all their toxic habits because their love you enough is such a whack storyline that made, especially girls, believe that the shitty guy they find hot will change for them cause it's real love.... No, just no. I am surprised myself cause the rest of the characters are freaking toxic, too - except for Chueam, love her- but these two just make me want to punch something. Like everybody is f**ed up or a sociopath or both but those two are THE romance, like, Mew actually seems like a good person, just find someone normal and leave (with Chueam) for a new group of people
I loved him in At Distance, Spring is Green but Weak Hero Class 1 made him one of my favorite actors now. The show was remarkable and his acting was outstanding. What a talent!
Why is Jungwoo in all of Haeyi and Sunho's classes when he's two years older than them? Confusion...
I'm studying medicine, but in Europe and our university system is pretty different, even so, I don't see how any of these majors(Theology, Medicine, and Astrophysics) overlap. What kind of classes do they take? Are they just visiting extra classes they took out of interest? How do they even have time for this?? And my most burning question stays the same: Why did the money-loving female lead choose theology as her major? Where I come from you can't just switch your career path how you like. You can't just enter the finance or business world after you studied something completely different. You pretty much have to stay in the field you graduated from because you need a degree for almost every position. I wanted to drop this drama but kept going because of the university theme. But it's getting really messy....
I was looking forward to Bae In Hyuk as a male lead, he is a great actor who can really make your heart flutter but boy his character in this drama ain't it...I understand why many people preferred the SML in the beginning even though he became pretty toxic in the later episodes- still- he has way more chemistry with the FL than InHyuk has... his character seems like a concerned middle-aged man or teacher who has to carry the legacy of his university club rather than a college student or a love interest. I don't really care for him and the female lead as a couple, I keep watching because of the university setting and the Cheerleading...I would find it better if she just stayed single at this point. I'm more interested in why she chose her major and what she will do with it in the future than her getting into any relationship with one of those two...as a university student myself I have to say SML is way closer to a regular student than ML, he seems like one of our lecturer (even though I'm not in Korea or the US)
Just started watching the whole thing, I am awed by all the artists I didn't know earlier! The idea of collaboration…
I somewhat agree. I think it's overall a very good thing that artists can decide to leave a show or a program because it's overall very uncomfortable for them or they feel bad while doing it. But in this case, the show itself had the theme to collaborate with others and also challenged them to get out of their (music) comfort zone. I guess they noticed too late that they are not made for that. Or maybe something else was off, something behind the scenes we don't know about. But quitting like that, without telling your partner or the other contestants, without thinking about how they would feel, and leaving the stage like that was just not it. It was just unprofessional and made everyone uncomfortable. And I don't say this because I am Seventeen biased, but the8 was a fan of them, especially Gong Ge and it really gave off the feeling as they would rather leave the show than perform with him and that was quite cruel. I would have felt bad for every contestant in his position.
We don't need such "vulnerable" characters. you can be jerk, asshole, ignorant, or condescending...but if you…
Yeah, I definitely agree. I also don't understand Yumin. Why is she into him? He literally treats her father like shit and he is constantly respectless towards a lot of people... Just because someone is ''less of a jerk towards you'' it's not romantic. And for the other characters of this trope, for example, Noh GoJin from Crazy love: These characters at least treated the people their love interest cares about with respect. And he had a really hurtful backstory while the whole show centered around his character development. Jungwhan is just a spoiled kid who bullies others because he's hurt by his ex-girlfriend...
I love the main couple, I love the sports topic and the trainers but hell I hate the other teammates and players and that makes it really really hard to watch this series. There is so much bullying, to a point where I found it really hard to continue and I know the female lead feels a lot of guilt, but I always thought: GIRL please tell the truth. This ain't it. I thought about quitting the show several times (and we're just at episode 6) because of the very uncomfortable situation but I didn't because of the main couple and the overall storyline. I know it got better later but I personally can't just forget how they all treated her. How could they make almost every supporting character so incredibly unsympathetic and annoying it's like having 10 antagonists in the show? I also don't like Jungwhan. Yeah, he's an interesting character but he's a freaking jerk. Why does Yumin chase after a guy who repeatedly treats her own father like shit and is constantly disrespectful to everyone? He has the worst case of rich kid syndrome and let's be honest, I've met similar people in real life, and I absolutely couldn't stand their behavior, maybe because of that, I can't see his character in a positive light. But I will continue watching and see how the story (and the characters) will develope.
