I just saw a comment on a YouTube video who talked to novel readers. Apparently in the novel he persuses her rentless…
Actually, this drama changed the novel plot a lot. So, they relationship is different and actually tlc just keep her in his side bcs he is suspicious about her. Tlc thinks she is liu yan's spy.
actually, TLC is aware about that and he literally let Ashui with him bcs he thinks it is much safer for enemy closer to him. so, when it will reach that plot, TLC is not really care about that. lol i cant reveal so much, but there will be a lot of plot twist.
Plot: The story introduces the main characters and the core conflict that drives the protagonist to begin his journey in solving the problem. Although it starts as a personal issue, it involves many other parties. Therefore, Tang Lici has no choice but to resolve the matter so that the Jianghu (martial world) can return to peace. There’s also a meaningful dialogue between Tang Lici and a monk, where the monk explains Tang Lici’s situation — simple on the surface, yet deeply profound in meaning.
Theme: The series offers an impressive and refreshing world-building that perfectly fits its new genre — xuanxia, a blend of martial arts, fantasy, and sci-fi. The excellent CGI helps immerse viewers into its world, such as the Yanmen Sect, which can tame and use birds as companions and mounts. Many more unique settings and backgrounds are expected to be revealed in future episodes. The atmosphere is built up epically, especially in the opening scene, which feels eerie and intense. The fantasy elements are rich with hints of horror, cultivation powers during fights, and other mysterious aspects yet to be uncovered.
Characters and Relationships: I really enjoy seeing the dynamic interactions between Tang Lici and the supporting characters. The most memorable relationships, in my opinion, are: 1. Tang Lici and Chi Yun — a bromance filled with playful banter. Tang Lici loves teasing Chi Yun and constantly making him “submit” to his whims, while Chi Yun talks endlessly, to the point where Tang Lici gets tired of listening. Truly the definition of 🦊 x 🐶. 2. Tang Lici and Liu Yan — friends turned enemies. It’s clear that Tang Lici still cares deeply for Liu Yan and considers him important, but Liu Yan has been blinded by hatred and vengeance...
My Opinion: I really love it — especially since the pacing is fast and the storytelling is detailed enough for newcomers to easily follow the plot without unnecessary filler scenes.

There no main heroine for TLC.
