He used to amused by her and that was not any brother's look. For Xueman other than Beiming no one would be perfect that would be realized by him. and for him she and her father are his home. May be before it was kind of affection or crush or responsibility but by the time going on they are falling in love.

Makers are not investing their time on it. They just let us knew that they knew each other from childhood and liked and when we onboared they were getting married.
