It looked promising at first but then... the story was just so lacking? It felt like the climax never hit? Just some sorts of problems here and there, and the couple (note, I love the actors separately) but the CHARACTERS they had to play just didn't FIT.
The dude seemed so mature and the girl seemed SOOO childish - like - it would have been a cute college love but just didn't fit together.
I just think as a couple they didn't really match well or mesh well - parts seemed awkward and almost too cringey. Uncle + Niece vibes were WAY more accurate.
I also loved the side loves/stories so much more - humor was there though. I truly did laugh a lot but I was NOT interested in the PLOT at all. I literally whizzed/skimmed through it to just find out the ending results etc.
The antagonists of the stories were also just meh and were solved so quickly - like no effort put in.
Overall, wouldn't watch again but still glad I did bc I know now. Wouldn't really recommend if you find your time precious but the main actor + 2nd leads were such eye candies.
QUICK AND THE GUY IS SO ATTRACTIVE. BUT WHAT THE HECK - all I can say is yes, this is relatable in the sense that some women are such foxes as the "friend" like bro come on.
And yes men are like this, they chase, get the girl, and get bored.
I originally wanted to only watch this drama bc of Eric but honestly the cast was nice! Even Ha Jin :(
This drama was unique with the side interviews to really show the characters' inner feelings in which most dramas have the audience infer or guessing~
I loved the approach of how realistic/relatable this drama was! The hardships of heartbreak, break ups, starting a new relationship/over, dealing with bumping into exes etc... Also how this made me question how everyone defines love extremely differently and how important being able to be yourself around someone is also an aspect of love - not everything can be fixed or completed with just pure effort/emotions.
This drama just had such a roller coaster of emotions and really have you frustrated yet somehow understanding vibe.
I also love how all of the characters - no one was exactly PERFECT and showing their development / growth was so fitting for this theme.
The characters were great! Although the main girl - she kept raising her eyebrows a lot LOL...
Overall, even the side stories were cute and tear-jerking. Totally would recommend!!
LOVED the acting from bubbly Kim Bum and charismatic Bi!!!!
This drama definitely went a different direction than I had anticipated - a DEF recommend!
If you're looking for romance - this isn't the focus but there IS some romance (really sweet touches + cuteness to the lovey parts).
The relationship between the actors and chemistry were all just perfect! Really focuses on the importance and value of human life, huge character developments (especially in overcoming trauma and valuing other admirable traits people SHOULD have - empathy etc).
All the side stories of the side characters were extremely interesting and really very well connected all around!!
Perfect quick paced mini-series with a lot of action, sweet sweet romance build (nothing intense but just the RIGHT amount from beginning to end) and a roller coaster of emotions.
Truly love how this drama depicts MENTAL, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL abuse, trauma, fortitude etc!! Really loved how it also showed the importance of family, love, trust vs betrayal, hatred, and desperation!
Also loved ALL the cast + characters, really befitting, and honestly such a charismatic female lead and loved Han Tae Seok!!
The chemistry between the two leads were absolutely adorable, charismatic, yet such a sweet romance (nothing cringey or lovey dovey sorts).
Overall, if you're looking for a quick, straightforward drama this is IT! However, be prepared!! :)
HONESTLY, it is an older drama so there will be cringe moments and out of trend cliche's but... OVERALL it was pretty good!
The humor is actually cheeky and it's long bc it really goes into depth of each family's hardships, growth, wholesomeness, character development etc etc.
I truly loved all the characters - really portrayed their part so well!
Each family taught so much about life - the importance of family, revenge, forgiveness, studying, independence, wealth, respect, and just so much more... I really recommend if you're in for a show to put in the background but still want something that will want to keep making you watch the next episode!!
The male lead is a meh actor (so dull).. I dropped all the dramas he was in.. except this one, I don't know how…
But I feel like that's exactly how his character was perfectly portrayed! His face emotionless but his actions say otherwise and shows you a warm side that isn't really expressed through emotions. - Which I'm sure a lot of people can relate to and such.
Superb acting and cliff hangers! To be honest, I wasn't hooked initially but there were so many great reviews so I kept watching and soon enough I understood why it got such high praise! Awesome connection between multiverse storylines and honestly, all the actors really made it a hit.
I will say only the ending left me a bit confused :(
Also, there is some romance but that isn't the main genre - definitely more towards thriller, crime, suspense, thought analysis (which I do not usually lean towards but STILL was so good!!

SO SAD. SO REAL. SO LAME.

Don't let the first episode or so deter you away - trust!!! It truly gets better.
More than romance, this definitely focuses on thriller, crime, suspense, and mystery! HOWEVER, the love is wholesome YET dark!!
The actors were all amazing and the humor was also extremely wholesome and adorable.
Loved every scene and since it is a MINI series (12 episodes); every episode had me on the edge.
Love the tension and chemistry from the mains and all the side characters were equally lovable.
PLEASE WATCH.
