I love Andy Yang and planned to watch this drama for her. From the start I wasn't really a fan of Kris Wu (even though I didn't hate him at the beginning). Now that there is such a big scandal regarding him, on one hand, I feel quite sorry for the cast. Maybe it would have been better if this had aired earlier on (even though Kris Wu deserves this, the rest of the cast don't)......
On the other hand, I feel quite happy as I wasn't really a fan of Kris Wu from the start. Maybe other actors might be put as the main lead (hope that it's Xu Kai as he is a great actor and also my favorite!) (Deng Lun will also do a good job)
Why on earth didn't Fu Heng and Ying Luo get together??? It is so heartbreaking. I am not at all satisfied with that aspect of the drama. I know that for the story they had to put it that way. However, I still can't take it. But after knowing that in Royal Feast the both will be the main cast, I am happy. I hope that they get together in that drama at least. Please do!!!

I am an Indian too. Since when I was young, I never liked watching Indian series. They were too dramatic and felt insanely slow. I started watching American series like Flash, Agents of Shield, etc after recommendations from friends. I loved them.
Later on, I accidently clicked a Chinese drama MV which was trending at that time [I guess it was 'Put your head on my shoulder']. It isn't my favorite, but it was okay. That's how I started to watch Chinese dramas.
Like you, I also dropped 'Please feel at ease Mr. Ling'. The story was too ordinary and the female lead's character wasn't that strong (I don't like cute, super weak and innocent female leads as well).
Some dramas that I would recommend you to watch out for: 1) She and her perfect husband - Xu Kai and Yang Mi 2) Lie to love - Leo Luo and Cheng Xiao 3) My Heart - Jason Koo and Cheng Xiao [I am not sure whether the male lead is good. I will still try it out]. 4) Royal Feast - Xu Kai and Wu Jin Yan [It is a period drama. I don't know if you will like it. But I guess you can try it out after knowing about the ending].
Well I guess we can just keep supporting our own favorite actors and actresses.

I do agree with you about happy endings. I watched the recently aired drama 'broker' when it was on-air. The main lead died in the ending and that was so devastating for me and felt insane. Even if you watch only the last episode you would understand. But sometimes, when a supposedly good drama airs, I just can't control myself and I end up watching it. Well, I guess I can just watch the on-air dramas that will definitely have a happy ending. After all, most modern Chinese dramas have a happy ending.

Xu Kai's upcoming drama, 'She and her perfect husband' is a modern drama. Don't give up hope yet. The drama 'Love under the full moon' which will be released today is good as well. I guess at least. Hold on please!!!

Yet I can't stop myself from yearning for another season. When I finished watching this drama I almost felt like I will never again find another drama like this. Of course, I will still support Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao by watching their upcoming dramas.
