Of course it's different. TMOPB focuses on the story of Bai Qian and Ye Hua. Feng Jiu and Dong Hua are just side stories in TMOPB. The story of the birth of Feng Jiu in TMOPB and in ELOD is also different. The story of Feng Jiu and Dong Hua meeting at TMOPB and at ELOD is also different. In TMOPB there is no A Lan Ruo arc. While in ELOD, A Lan Ruo's arc is the most important arc that will play a role in uniting Feng Jiu and Dong Hua. That's why in TMOPB, Feng Jiu and Dong Hua can't be together. While at ELOD, Feng Jiu and Dong Hua eventually become husband and wife and they become parents as well.
