I understand it’s stupid of mbc to include bts names but honestly what’s the point in trying to bomb the drama now. There’s 2 episodes left and you’re not going to get an apology from mbc because they’re petty and they have beef with bts. Also if you are going to bomb or drop a drop a drama that talks about real serious issues then I hope you question your priorities as you’re defending idols who don’t even know you. I doubt bts even care that much as I’m sure they have way better things to do in their life than get offended by a petty network who mentions their names and birthdays
woah episode 8 was incredible. A nice change after all the previous stories to focus on the characters past. Rowoons acting was incredible. This is my favourite after episode 6
The rating drop here is no big deal. The main concern was the huge drop of TV ratings in Korea. From 7.6 Ep 1 to…
I wasn’t surprised by the drop in viewership rating I saw it coming. Saturday is a very competitive time slot and last sat it was competing with two dramas in their penultimate episodes as well as kbs2 popular cable dramas that always have high ratings and another popular drama from kbs1. It wasn’t that people found this drama bad, they would rather just watch dramas that had already started.
Don’t u just love it when the ratings drop from 8.5 to 8 overnight. At least it means the drama is getting it’s deserved attention given trollers are here. Good it’s back to 8.1, shows the people who are actually watching it enjoy it.
I’m slightly confused as to why people want romance? I agree that all the leads are very attractive and there could be chemistry between them but it wouldn’t be fitting considering how serious the plot is in my opinion. If there were any romance it would completely undermine and take away the whole message of the drama about how valuable peoples lives are and that suicide is never the right option as people will end up just focusing on the romance. If you want romance there are many romance dramas currently airing that I’m enjoying and I like how this is a different genre from that.
wym did him wrong comparing to fl? are you implying bc hes rowoon he should have a better character than the main…
I agree I just wish they showed more of jiwoons story since they set his character up so nicely in the first couple episodes. I don’t dislike his character I just wish they wrote or incorporated more of his struggles in the story as well as hwi struggles
wym did him wrong comparing to fl? are you implying bc hes rowoon he should have a better character than the main…
oh no not at all. I just think that hwi is super complex and interesting as a character since she is going through so much but jiwoon is just kinda running around being in love with her. Compared to the younger version of himself I preferred more I think it would’ve been nicer if the writer stuck to that type of character
The writer really did rowoon dirty with his character compared to the fl lol. Anyhow the plot is very compelling and now I’m hooked so I don’t mind a few mishaps here and there I’ll definitely keep watching
To those who think the ml is too rude for a historical drama I’d like to offer another opinion. To me his character is a breath of fresh air. A character who isn't afraid to say the truth in a palace full of injustice and corruption. And about his rude behaviour, yes it may be seen as rude during those times but this drama isn't meant to be an accurate representation of those times. Having a cross dressed female lead as part of the plot shows this drama isn't following the traditional standards. That's why I'm not comparing it to other historical dramas as it's clearly stated it's heading in a different direction to those dramas.
It’s ratings premiered at 6.2% I believe and it did decrease massively to 5.5% last week but I suspect that was due to the finale of the lovers of the red sky showing at the same time as it was even above squid in Netflix Korea. Ep 7 recorded 7% and I think ep8 might be higher too. I’m not sure if that means it’s the top airing dramas though
Boy spent years studying in china ofc he was gonna come back w a modern vision of life + before leaving he saw…
