A Beautiful Story Ruined by Too Many Secrets

In my opinion, Love in the Clouds is a drama with beautiful visuals, strong chemistry between the main leads, and a storyline that keeps you curious, especially because Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai’s relationship is constantly filled with secrets, conflicts, betrayals, and moments where they save each other. But honestly, as the story progressed, I became really disappointed with Ming Yi. She kept hiding the truth and concealing so many things from Ji Bo Zai, even though many of their problems could have been avoided if she had simply been honest with him from the beginning. Her constant habit of hiding her identity, intentions, and the truth made their relationship exhausting because Ji Bo Zai was always left trying to figure out what was really going on. What frustrated me even more was how foolish Ji Bo Zai was for still accepting Ming Yi as his partner and destined soulmate after discovering so many of the lies and secrets she had kept from him 😭. I understand that he loves Ming Yi and that they have strong chemistry, but as a viewer, I honestly found myself thinking, “Do you love her so much that you can forgive all of those lies?” 😂 Even so, I have to admit that the conflicts and secrets are exactly what make this drama so hard to stop watching, because there is always another truth waiting to be revealed. Overall, Love in the Clouds is an interesting drama to follow, but Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai’s relationship can be incredibly frustrating at times—not only does it make me swoon, but it also makes me angry, frustrated, and annoyed at the same time. 😭 As much as I enjoy their romantic chemistry, their communication is honestly enough to make me want to scream: “MING YI, JUST TELL HIM THE TRUTH ALREADY! AND JI BO ZAI, WHY ARE YOU STILL WILLING TO ACCEPT HER?! 😭”.

𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚: Please don’t hate me just because I gave it a lower rating and it doesn’t match the rating you wanted. This is purely my personal opinion. I know some of you watch it mainly because you see beautiful and handsome actors and enjoy the CGI, hahaha, but honestly, that’s kind of embarrassing for you. I’m looking at the drama through Ming Yi’s character and her actions, not just the actors’ looks.
