@GoodRick I am currently watching it on watchasian/dramacool (no account, no nothing - and I am in Romania), maybe…
@ElBee Good to know...also, there was a time when I used to watch stuff that I downloaded from various sites (talk about illegal, but shoutout thepiratebay days) and I haven't used any torrents in YEARS, and as far as I know there are fines and all sorts of things that are implemented to avoid things like that, but then again, it's more on the commercial side (software that you can dlw,/steal/make money of), and if I want to watch US or trademarked content, I can use netflix or hbo or any of the gazzilion content streaming options, it's the Asian content that I am searching for...and I agree, it's good to be prepared and informed.
It's been almost 4 years since this released and it is still not available to legally stream anywhere in the US…
@GoodRick I am currently watching it on watchasian/dramacool (no account, no nothing - and I am in Romania), maybe this works for you, as well...oh and I have AdBlock. I am giving you all these details because maybe they impact the end result. Fingers crossed! https://watchasian.pro/someday-or-one-day-episode-1.html
I just finished watching ”Starting over again” and this article was recommended so I just had to answer the questions in the end. Not sure I can choose THE couple for me, but when I think about this type of love story, One Spring Night and Something in the Rain came to mind, and who knows, maybe there is something related to Jung Hae In, but these 2 had a somewhat more realistic vibe to them, or at least more of a gradual, progressive development. As for favourite ”quiet but filled with love” moments, I think there are a few scenes in Chocolate, for example when they cook together or when he stays with her at the beach, protecting her and lending her the coat, staying with her while she was out of it (like, sleeping because of exhaustion). For reference: https://youtu.be/nv2h466pKeI?si=cfxbNBco0UrvD1At Yeah, I need to rewatch that drama - and all the ones mentioned in the article and comments.
Thank you for the article, I really enjoyed reading it and thinking about the points it makes!
Thank you ❤️ it took a while for it to get published so I almost started to loose confidence ha ha... 😅
@Shiro Oh...I don't know what to say about things taking a long time, but you're a very inspirational figure to me, and I would like to have the same drive and productivity you seem to :)
Only now I noticed there is my name in the special thanks...like....why? how come? what did I do to deserve this? I am very shy all of a sudden...
It is a very rare sentiment to read something and agree and laugh at almost every paragraph, but this article has achieved that. I enjoyed EVERYTHING! 💓💓💓
What episode was this? I want to take a screenshot from the drama for one of the challenges I am doing and it would be of so much help if I knew the number...
Great article - I had a stoopid large smile on my face while reading it and didn't even realize it until the end :) I love NJH, he plays characters that are so fundamentally good (yes, even the Water God) and his face appearing on screen makes my heart grow 2 sizes... The School Nurse Files was indeed not all openly showing everything, like regular dramas, but I think that worked very well with all the symbolism, besides, I like it when dramas make me think and try to realize what could be lying beneath that surface. Besides, I understand it was adapted from a manga, so there might be (haven't read it yet) things that either could not be shown on screen (like complicated CGI, or whatever) or there were artistic choices made in order to ensure content for a second season (a girl can dream...). At some point maybe I will play the game, sounds fun :) Keep up the good work! 👏
I think he survived tho, at the end we see he's still alive.
@kanawilde That can also be a metaphor for him being "reborn" or waking up into another conscience/world. It's not like the girl is actually another person around him, so the film uses different means of conveying its message.
he survived or went to heaven? my head is stuck on this issue.
@Adrian Deniel Of course, art is subjective and you can make up your own mind. To me, the end signified that he was dead, and finally free of the bullying, like opening his eyes over a brand new world. This is in memory of someone who committed suicide, as well, so I couldn't dismiss that either.
1) It's Okay to Not Be Okay was my first one. 2) Why did I start watching? Dunno, the trailer on netflix sparked my interest and I watched it. 3) The escapism.
Ever since I've seen this list I keep thinking about a short I watched (And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool (2017) ,https://kisskh.at/28225-and-so-we-put-goldfish-in-the-pool) but it doesn't have them in the poster... which kinda makes sens if you watch it, but still - I am very dumbfounded about it :)) I keep searching for posters for this and cannot find one that actually shows the fishies :)
