YMMD is still better in the writing than this! They are good at realizing with a very limited time, you need to focus on the key plots only and not trying to insert all these additionals that you'll see in a full-fledged series

Thanks for the analysis! That ring is also a big question mark for me, along with their high school past. I can only guess based on two scenarios: 1. Yi Bin is Yeong Woo's senior in high school and 2. The line "it is always you who runs away". I assume they are boyfriends in the past? 🤣

Wow finally someone with similar thoughts with me! Since I read the synopsis first before watching (which I barely does before), I expect the investigative part to be interesting, only to be served with zero of it :(

Let's pray they get a longer time and more episodes in Season 2 later, so we could get more explanation to many unanswered questions!
