Both main leads sort of look cute together but there was never for me the sparkle that second leads have. That…
Agreed....i have read the webtoon and only the two female leads have been cast appropriate to their respective webtoon characters....both the male leads are too teenage looking and don't suit the adult roles here. They have substantially changed the whole cast character wise and it really pissed me off as to why they couldn't simply stay true to the webtoon. Am not saying this drama version is bad.....but the webtoon did more justice to it imho.
In my opinion is the kdrama version better because the webtoon has to much fillers and extra drama but this one…
Also the guy playing the president is actually looking like a teenager here in contrast to a lot mature character in webtoon.....the crushes ex was also not there originally in the webtoon. I get that for ppl watching the drama freshly these details hardly make any difference but to ppl like me who had read this webtoon yrs ago fondly .....i actually expected them to stay as true to the webtoon like they did in Yumis cells.

They also switched the antagonists and protagonist side characters which is probably cuz they massively edited the actual webtoon. Ex the president's grandpa was a lovely character in webtoon but in the drama they have made him a sour apple.

Both webtoon and the drama are equally sober actually Plus there was actually a logical progression to plot in webtoon and I haven't seen any fillers in it tbh. Dunno what chapters u feel were filler in webtoon though..This drama adaptation went too slow in beginning and are now trying to compromise and shorten the plot after they realised they couldn't fit the whole of 120 odd chapters here. If only the writer had planned it out from the beginning.
They should have stayed loyal to the original source material of webtoon, wasted lots of screen time by elaborating on many unnecessary scenes which could have been utilised to follow the original story midway. Although this version ain't bad but imo the webtoon version was way better.
Somehow I feel Qian Wei does not deserve Lu Xun at all. If it were in my hands i would like Lu Xun and Mo Xin be the endgame tbh. Qian Wei isn't a damsel in distress. Her life's tragedy is literally a byproduct of her own choices as to how she dealt with them. She has to own her own choices. Also didn't like the way writer makes Lu Xun run around Qian Wei all the time, it's almost as if Qian Wei didn't work for it at all.
Well that preview of final episode screams happy ending😗....I can literally see how they are trying to fool us by showing the before scenes (where it feels as if they are gonna separate but byj comes to his senses last minute and runs back to nhd) as after(where they live happily ever after and are married but are trying to maintain lowkey and indirectly teasing each other on screen to flaunt that they are now married) iykwim.
Don't care abt how this show ends but it is hands down one of the best kdramas i have seen till date! The songs, the acting, the writing, the camera work......am gonna keep visiting this drama again and again just to feel gud in future.
1. The transition between scenes is very crude at a lot of places, hard not to let it by 2. The ease with which the ML is taking it all in and accepting things at such pace is so not natural and definitely the biggest plothole to this drama in coming episodes. 3. The age difference between the leads should put those speculating down in the comments abt a possible love story between the leads. Sigh. Has potential....hope they get better with upcoming episodes since pilot didn't leave a big impression as such.
If you have been frustrated with this series for its pace like me....well you can now also be frustrated at the stupid writer of this drama. Till ep 6 only FL pissed me off.....now ep 7 makes sure even the ML is a dumb monkey. The writing and story are all over the place. Agreed it's a sci-fi and dystopian genre and writers do have some creative licence to over-dramatise story but this one simply drags on and on and on. Also has the writer ever even heard there is something called common sense even in a sci-fi? This doesn't even deserve 10 eps tbh. The entire plot is just 2 hrs worth max.
The lady cop is the most frustrating character i have seen in recent time. Also the story isn't progressing at all .... Almost 70% of the show is over and they have at most covered what should normally be covered in 2 to 3 episodes. This show heavily depends upon overexploited suspense music with little or no story to show. Literally the 6 episodes can be summarised in a sentence. Am damn sure even if we skip the whole series and just watch the final episode we won't be missing much.
This was a wholesome and awesome drama..... but the main story actually started around ep 11....could have avoided compressing chunk of the story development into last couple of episodes. Also the last bad incident wasn't necessary at all. Could have written it better.
