My respect for Yi San went 📈 in EP 9. Honestly I was starting to think that he deserved to get rejected after the library scene in EP 8 because even if he loved her a healthy relationship requires mutual respect but EP 9 changed my mind. Now I wish for nothing but for them to be happy together.

I can't be the only one who kind of liked the court ladies' secret organization in the plot so far. Predictability can be boring and I definitely never saw that coming so that is a plus point for me. Having a powerful female antagonist leading a secret organization with female assassins especially in a historical drama feels refreshing and makes me want to overlook realism. Also, Wol Hye executes the action scenes so well, my jaw dropped the first time she murdered those people in cold blood and the way she put up a proper fight with the Crown Prince had me falling in love with a criminal. I like dramas that dabble in a little bit of all genres and this drama definitely meets my taste, politics and all.

So I was rewatching The Red Sleeve again today as per usual and at the end of EP 8 I realised I never felt more single watching a scene in a kdrama than when watching that scene. I have never been fazed even by kiss scenes but that scene 😩

Yes, very much so that it is difficult waiting for each week's episode. Just a forewarning coming from personal experience, if you do decide to watch it and like it you might become unable to focus on anything else so if you do not wish to suffer (but there is a pleasure in suffering ngl) you will have to wait till it finishes airing.
