I thought the KFC Lotus Cake would be a good sign for Immortality. But... cakes are selling and still no information about drama.
As I can understand KFC suffers losses because the scope of sales of this cake isn't enough. Immortality should be on air for increasing sales.

News and rumors from China are becoming more awful.
I hope at least Mo Ran wouldn't end up with Shi Mei after these changes. Because it would be dreadful.

Thank you for explaining. I want to believe you are right. There are a lot of rumors on the Internet. But at least officially Immortality hasn't been canceled or something else. So, we still hope and wait.

Yes, it's my personal feeling. I hope in the best future for Chine, for fantasy dramas, and for art without censorship. But I'm frustrated and shocked after the last news from China. For example, I have read about new restrictions for fan-community and Chinese actors and have done such conclusion.
As I see Сhinese communist party is considering Chinese idols and stars as rivals and the threat of politics.
Concerning my prediction about wuxia and xianxia, I meant it would possible in couple of years later, not right now.

May be Immortality will air on, because this drama costs a lot of money. I believe in the best. But unfortunately I predict that Immortality will be the last BL drama. I have been reading news about China for a couple month. So I have realased that Chinese government and society is going crazy slowly. When the pandemic began China closed from others (especially western influence). Government got a chance to strengthen communist ideology.
So a communist madness is coming! I think such genre as "Xianxia" or "Wuxia" will disappear also.
The Сhinese communist party will approve only dramas about modern times, because this dramas could show China as the best one country in the world.
I am really sad. I'm realy feel sorry for beatifull and talanted Chinese actors. They are victims and slaves of cruel politics.
