there is a lot of inconsistency with the characters in this series, from episode to episode you get to see the leads as smart and strong and then weak and stupid... and then smart and strong again.. this happens throughout the series.. There isnt any real likable characters and the only real growth character is played by Zhao Lusi, which was disappointing due to the cast. The story has plot holes, or there is a lot that is not shown on screen or simply glossed over, especially with the Tang royal family. Best part was dance in the Disease and plague town as it would have been about the time of Covid.
