Well well well.. even with all the deletes that they did to this drama, it was still good enough to watch. However, the quality severely decreased and it showed. No matter how good the cast maybe, especially Peter Ho, who played the role of a mad and insecure emperor, the series as a whole could not recover. If you have time and there isn't any other good drama to watch, this is something I'll recommend but I can't recommend it as a must watch drama. A solid 8.0 from me
There’s No Season 2, it’s 1 season split into 2 parts, so it’s a continuation from episode 20, if you paid…
I think you're not actually understanding what I'm saying, so I'll stop there. Aaand I'm rather disappointed that you're limiting the actress to her past works. Any actress or actor can do well in their particular role if they put their heart and mind into it. It'll be unfair to say that they won't do a good job in it without giving them the role. Whether or not they're comfortable in doing it is another thing however I will never criticize a cast without them actually doing it. In all the shows I've watched ..I've learnt one thing and that's to criticize a cast based on how they performed in a drama but not based on their past works. That's why I always expect that the cast will do a good job rather than a bad one so that I can always remain unbiased to their performances

Not really. I find her really cute. She is a wonderful actress. I believe she would have done an equal or better job if she was mudeok instead of naksu. I feel she was underutilized here. I believe that you think I'm targeting a certain actress or actor but I'm not. I'm not under any fan base that's why my reviews are for most part unbiased. When I said limited to the boundaries of the plot it's a given that already all of them are limited to the boundaries of the plot but if the plot isn't wide enough the characters become narrow and that's what naksu became, a narrow character limited to the boundaries of the plot. As I said, if you do like naksu as a character and I'm not saying the actress or anything, just the character alone it's up to you.

I didn't find mu deok irritating. I see that you didn't like her. I believe she was much more of a complete character than priestess naksu or assassin naksu. She played a lot of roles. Maid, friend, teacher, lover, assassin and soul shifter. Also, her accent change whenever she speaks was a chefs kiss. Mudeok's character was so versatile and you could see that the writer really did love the persona. Like I said before if you like naksu more than mudeok, it's alright. It's your subjective preference and I respect that :)

Well, season 1 or part 1, season 2 or part 2 ... doesn't really matter to me. I'm not speaking about the plot and characters but I'm speaking about the quality of them both. However if you liked season 2 more than season 1 ...that alright. For me, I like season 1 better because of the character versatility that Mu deok had and also better overall quality and execution.
Hmm... What a difficult series to rate. Even though season 1 was executed to near perfection, the same can't be said for season 2. Season 1 was more focused on backstory and plot build up so it carried for most part, the element of surprise and freshness, however season 2 could not keep up with that same quality. I'm not saying that season 2 was bad in any means but comparatively it lacked that 'oomph' that season 1 had. I liked Mu deok more than naksu, why?? Well, because she added so much depth to her character. What about Naksu? Hmm.. her character was limited to the boundaries of the plot and that's what made the series a little less intriguing. We never got to see the Naksu as an assassin after season 1 and that's why I was little disappointed. I believe that her character deserved more awesomely choreographed action scenes. Another let down was the villain and the final boss fight. In context of the whole season they became insignificant due to the revamps(power ups) that the leads got from season 1. The feeling of high stakes were removed because of those revamps. With that all said I have to score this season, an average 8.5. I said average because, it should have done better.
Overall, I would score both these seasons a 9. Truly deserves the figures.
Impressive. This drama definitely has the wow factor. All the characters have something to offer. The story keeps you hooked and the cast performs really well. I don't really have anything to complain about though. Solid 9.5 from me. Definitely a drama worthy of the score.
It's like you don't know whether to criticize it or not right. It basically leaves the viewer confused as to what you should think about and say about this drama XD
