Welcome to the double standard mentality of C-drama world. that's why I don't want to watch a drama where the Mls love is the most important thing in his life and for FL it's at most a secondary thing to discard any moment when it gets in her main purpose. And u know what the funny thing is ? even if Fl was the one to hurt the ML , the ML apologizes to her, reconcile with her as if he was the wrong one. Example: Only For Love, Blossom through the Cloud etc.

he doesn't have any power whatsoever, and from all her previous action we could see that she is a very intelligent and calculative woman. She known very well that he wouldn't be help her at all in her revenge. She is not a emotional character who gets moved by some sweet promises of an extremely privileged guy. It doesn't make any sense for her to marry that guy. After such a good character writing and story moving in a good direction the writer did all this shit just for some drama and prolonging the series😞😞

What gave the FL the confidence that she would be able to get revenge on her father by marrying into the Marquis family where neither the father nor the son get actively involved in politics?

I am loving this drama so much. The main reason is The ML here is actually prominent protagonist whose action drive the narrative. As I've seen in most of the recent historical/political dramas after a certain period especially after falling in love with FL the ML becomes a deuteragonist. His main purpose becomes to sacrifice for the FL and act as shield for her. His ambition character takes backseat in order to let the FL shine. But not here. Every time Xu kai enter the scene u can feel the shift in whole dynamic. He has strong presence and drivees the narrative forward instead of the narrative driving. All in all, it's just my personal opinion not a fact. So, take it with a pinch of salt

I am in the extreme minority shipper here.But I would jump out of my bed from happiness if xiaoyu and Hewen are the endgame. They both compliment each other's personality. If hewen and yuer end up together they will exhaust each other and may breakup within months. But with xiaoyi I can see a long lasting one

I really miss those fairy tale like kdrama from pre-covid era. Nowdays, more and more kdrama areleaning towards westernized version romance plot instead of sticking to what actually made them famous in the first place

The emotional infidelity is a big no for me. I don't mind breaking up and finding another partner but any kind of cheating while being in a relationship is a huge red flag regardless of the gender

I think her issue comes from the fact that she has always been the center of attention everywhere now that the guy she is interested in isn't doing same thing for her she is upset about that. There are ton of guys out there who will do that for her but Hewen's considerate and logical personality comes in between them. He is extremely good guy. He didn't make a fuss about the date thing at all where he also had all the right get upset with her. On the contrary, he was thinking how could he make amends for his mistakes. He could also make a big fuss about the thing that yuer is nonstop hanging out with his love rival all the time. He never once did that

Yue'er may be one of the most double standard of a human I've ever seen. She wants the be the center of her Love interest but she herself isn't willing to do the same. she says Hewen doesn't consider her feelings which on his part is completely unintentional but apparently she also do the same to him intentionally. just my personal opinion they shouldn't end up dating cause both of them will tire each other out. Hewen is pretty decent guy . I really want him to be happy

Ah! the curse of pre covid kdrama, where most of FMl's past love interests used to be a total jerk and The FLs used to be complete doormat. And the famous reverse harem troupe, where before ML enters the picture she doesn't have any love interest. even if she had any he would be an absolute jerk.as soon as the ML enter the picture there are suddenly multiple dashing and capable love interest who chases after the Fl. and my fellow drama addicts, this thing haven't changed till date throughout any drama industry in the world.
