Is there any love triangle?Does this drama have a happy ending?
LOL I wouldn't know. Like I wrote in my comment, I dropped this series and may or may not return. You'll have better luck reading the comments below considering there's like 900+ of them. You're bound to find answers.

The female lead is exasperating to watch. She finally gets ahold of the money her family desperately needs and she blows it by getting drunk off her a** and wind up wasting time AND losing the money, just to wind up where she started. Then she has the utter GALL to blame her dad and say sh*t to a man who felt guilty enough to try to overdose. I initially felt bad for her when I started watching this but I really don't feel like dragging myself through with watching more of this. Idk, I can't relate to her. Yeah, I get there is probably character development later on but I can't bring myself to suffer through more of this over-extravagance and bratty and spoiled characters. Don't know if this is common for 'rich guy, poor girl' plot in kdramas but it's not resonating with me at all even though I was gripped by the beginning. I was initially interested by the mature take this show has, as most rom-com kdrama (or any drama) is boring to me (personal opinion). The extra skin and raunchy scenes just feel gratuitous and kind of cringe-y.

Idk. Maaaybe I'll come back and give this another try someday, maybe not. I have yet to find a kdrama that I like, as I've been spoiled by the fast pace and non-fluffy storytelling of the jdramas I've watched so far.

But hey, if you like this kind of show and it's up your alley, more power to you. This is just my unapologetic impression of it.

I fell asleep watching this lol. I had a hard time 'connecting' the context to the dialogue because the sub felt... way too literal. I don't know how else to describe it. No disrespect to the subber, as I know it's a tedious and tremendous job, but while I could understand the gist of what the characters said, I felt like the wording was not accurate or fitting somehow to the context of a situation. Aside from that, the story itself was rather dull to me.

Ok I tried. I watched 4 episodes but the FL is so over the top I can't even bear to watch. I'm so frustrated by…
100% Agree. I like the idea of this show with a FL who doesn't try to be like other women but she just... over-the-top, ridiculous and lacks common sense in nearly everything.

I started S1 and skipped most of it, then moved to S2 hoping her character will be less dense and childish and... nothing has changed except for her relationship with her boss. Maybe I'm used to my FL's that have some modicum of maturity and more than two brain cells because this is the first FL that I absolutely detest. It's not about her being a disorganized, lazy slob when she's at home, it's her mentality of a 5 yr and inability to handle any situation that requires at least *some* degree of maturity, self-awareness, and intellect.

Watching her is agonizing and I'm pretty sure you're suppose to ROOT for the FL, not cringe at her antics, words, and lack of sense. She has virtually no backbone to speak of. I would understand if it's a purely cultural thing but I've watched jdramas where the FL has similar disposition as her, but somehow they manage to NOT make me roll my eyes or question if she was dropped on the head as a baby.

Yes, I know that people can have a work persona and a home persona, but Hotaru goes way beyond what is realistic, even for a light hearted series as this. This girl is *actually* ineptitude personified.

I would list this under my 'dropped' list but I don't plan to come back to this series so there's no point for me to even keep track of it anywhere. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I can't wait to wash it out with a FL that doesn't make me cringe.

It's so bad that I can't even rate it 0.5 stars because after all that I've tolerated from the FL, I don't want to touch this show with a twenty foot pole.

This drama was a wonderful surprise for me. I loved it so far. ..But... I wonder why i feel so disappointed with…
100% Agree. The ending of the drama felt like it was trying to force a fresh perspective when it did not need to go in that direction. This series would have done fine as a 'life lesson'- type drama where the ending is bittersweet but you learn valuable lessons. Instead, it tries to shove a weird, unrealistic, fantasy type ending down your throat that ultimately doesn't impart any other lesson besides 'oh and they live happily ever after after getting everything they've wanted with no real sacrifices made by either party'.

If the premise of this drama was aimed at a shoujo audience, then I think the ending would have fit. But instead, it's aimed at an older, more mature audience (hence the mental and actual age of the protagonist), the type of viewer who should be old enough to understand that not everything in life is fair, nor ends in happily ever after. I love a happy ending as much as the next person, but this ending just feels very out-of-line for some reason.

This is a truly great drama which I highly recommend...The ending has a sombre and melancholy feel..and even if…
Just finished it and I hope so too. I didn't really think about the jacket but you're a genius this raised my hope. There's stories of ppl lost at sea and finding hope all the time.
