This is a wonderful tv musical!

I had been waiting for this musical when I realized Chang Wook started from musicals and am absolutely thrilled with this production. Also am glad it is on Netflix. I definitely enjoyed this production more than LaLaLand, the last tv musical I've watch.

I loved the music scores and acting was very good by all the cast, as expected. I was amazed and loved the silky quality of Chang Wook's singing voice. The duets with Sung Eun was wonderful, well harmonized.

The script is very good, a thriller amidst the drama and singing. I was like, enjoying the singing and duet performances, and the next minute hanging on the story line to find out whodunnit. The visual fx is very well done.

The finale/encore with all cast is a nice ending, just like a live musical. This is definitely worth rewatching for me too, if only to watch CW and SE's duets again. I usually put in a high rating because the efforts of the cast and crew deserve credit.

Liked the ending. Worth watching but not a re-watch.

The plot is not new. The acting performances of all actors brought the somewhat stale storyline to life.

The story is about a cultural writer who goes to a very rural village to cover the age old folk tales in that village, tales of the Weasel Immortal, rat demons, and Fox Immortal. As he arrives at the village, they are holding a funeral for a dearly departed who was actually the one the tales were woven around. Piece by piece, the writer (also the narrator in the movie) uncovers the truths of events spanning 2 generations.

it's worth a watch when you've run out of good movies. but not so worth a re-watch.

It is under a different title on iQiyi, Northeast Folktales.

I am glad I ignored the bad reviews.

I enjoyed this drama thoroughly because of the great acting and directing. The camera work, lighting arrangements, production on the whole were awesome.

The story of a "bad" boss and "good" secretary falling in love is a cliche but somehow this drama was very enjoyable, possibly because there were no extremely intense scenes which sometimes is hard for the faint-hearted.

Bad boss tries his best to "keep" his new secretary by his side by manipulation. Secretary endures the harsh treatments. Together, with hot and cold relationship, they try to keep the company going against competitors and the company's internal conflicts.

Individual pasts come in to further hinder their relationship. How they overcome all? With a few twists of story plots and past truths uncovered slowly crawling in episode by episode. This is the director's great work.

The casting is great. Each actor brought his and her character out very well. Also helps that they are all candy for the eyes! Lots of kissing scenes which were all well acted out, giving us goosebumps kind of good feeling, not too much and not too little. Just the right amount to make you sigh with enjoyment.

Many real life couples derive from boss-secretary connections because they spend so much time in understanding each other's needs and habits. This drama depicts the kind where boss tests the secretary so much due to his own insecurity and the secretary is too wary of his boss's promiscuity.

All in all this drama is for those who want sit back with a cool refreshing cocktail or wine and just enjoy a romance with beautiful faces and bodies, with a few twists in the plot, and beautiful beach scenery towards the final episodes. So if you decide to watch this ENJOY!

Great acting from 2 young actors

This series brings us the ups and downs of a relationship of two childhood friends, from their childhood bonding and growth individually and together through to adulthood. a really heartwarming tale of brotherhood blossoming into romance and self acceptance set discovery as they grow into adults.

my commendation to the 2 make leads for bringing out their characters so well given their young age.

the story is simple and not something new. however it was well directed and turned out very well with the help of a great performance by the actors.

Exciting!

Exciting: the close ups of the racing cars gets your adrenaline pumping.

Great camera work, lovely sceneries.

Flawless acting from main and supporting actors, especially HXX and WYL.

Great screenwriting as the plot wasn't spectacular but every episode was exciting filled with drama, humor, covering trauma, romance, family, teamwork, friendship, intricacies of the rally racing, and some dark sides of rally world. I appreciated that they didn't play up the dark side very much, just minor dirty tricks but was scripted well enough.

I actually rewound the exciting car race scenes a few times, especially the one where Zhendong goes "into the Zone".

Will definitely re-watch this series.
