loved the drama but hee joo's unwillingness to not even trying to speak up in front of sa eon is straight up annoying…
Girl had trauma and still not comfortable with him and trust him enough to speak in front of him .I mean he treated her coldly for 3 years . You can can’t expect changes within days and Her’s only comfort person is her father whom she can talk to .I am sure with time she will be able to trust her husband also.
Also Novel version was the most toxic ML , here I have to give props to drama maker that they are somehow making ML worthy of FL by showing scenes that he’s trying to make efforts for her and Today episode was all about how they are warming up to each other .
Those who are expecting steamy scenes should also keep their expectations low because in Netflix it is rated as 13+ and director himself mentioned that they have toned down the 18+ scenes from novel given its public broadcast.
Hence you are seeing typical kiss scene as of now . I will wait series to finish to make final judgement .🤣🤣
I am very GLAD they make changes in characters and storyline specially ML because in novel he came across grooming her , always controlling her decisions.
Happy in show ML is shown falling in love with her first.while in novel he had issue with love word and seems to have issue with definition of love and till the end he couldn’t tell her L word🙃🙃 .many instances it feels like they are toxic for each other .too much controlling nature ,she doesn’t feel secure in relationship.I was so pissed at one scene (sexism and misogyny under the jealousy where he almost blamed her clothes for attracting male attention)
Female lead - it’s early to say how show gonna portray FL character because in novel after their first time sleeping together scene only their relationship test started, she was self aware about her weakness ,wanted security in relationship. When they broke up she lose confidence in herself, started blaming herself, not the men she was dating (including ML). I almost cried when FL mother told FL she deserves someone who can love her more than her parents.
Hope they will make changes in last parts also where she was not expecting anything in relationship but that he won’t cheat and love her only [BAR is SET TOO LOW in novel]
There are lots of scenes that I want to see in show from novel but doubt they will be in drama due to censorship lots of sleeping together scenes 😉
