This one started strong while the middle few episodes made me put it in hold but then i finished it today and…
Even if his character was wronged he still can't use it as a justification to massacre a whole city. He just recieved retribution at the end and gladly accepted it, that was very admirable of him. Even Lan Jue was wronged and lost everything as a kid but he didn't use that as reason to go on a killing spree. I was totally satisfied that in the end everyone got what they deserved.
Why are the female characters in most of the Chinese dramas so ridiculous?? No, I'm genuinely curious π§ Every Cdrama that I watch I have to skip the scenes with those crazy fls π₯² And I beg you, please just cast senior actors for serius roles like police officers and smart detectives ππ« These actors that look like literal teens are ruining the vibes for me, they look like they belong in a high school drama π
There's a slight BL vibe though, so tiny you need a microscope to see it but it's there nonetheless π
There's no female love interest for either of the male leads so you're gonna enjoy their chemistry and the cases too. And at some points you too might find the BL vibes that I felt π
I watched the trailer and it seems depressing. Is it?
Well, kind of, but that's like close to the ending because the story is based in the era of pre and post Japan's invasion of China so you'll get to see some heartwrenching parts related to it towards the end. The country's invasion affects everyone's life including that of the main leads. Nevertheless, the drama is absolutely magnificent in all respects. You won't ever regret watching it.
I came here bc of recommendation from under the skin. Is mc here also somehow special like mc in under the skin?
It had a far lower budget than under the skin. The director even said they had spent half of their budget on renting the Lamborghini for some of the scenes in the drama β₯οΈπ₯² please be considerate of their pain and efforts though
They did injustice to this series by not making a season 2. π₯² But I get it they were already tight on budget on the first one itself so imagining a second season was really out of their league. I'm still having my fingers crossed for a 2nd season though, never lose hope πβ₯οΈ
Fck these Chinese live-action adaptations of BL mangas.. I'm just gonna read the novels and be content.. in the name of bromance and BL all we get is a handshake π
It's a complete adaptation of the manga. The manga also ends abruptly, so not much they can do about it
Yes, they should respect the sources but all I asked for was longer BLs and South Koreans usually make shorter ones. I don't have anything against manga adaptations but this kind of strict adherence rule sometimes takes away the essence of the live-action version, that's all I meant.
Loved it β₯οΈ Also, Won Tae Min is a great actor.. I didn't even realise until the end of the series that he literally played a high school student's role in 'Unintentional love story' although it was actually filmed after this one π I truly applaud his acting skills β₯οΈ Would love to see him in more BLs β₯οΈ
