This is series makes me laughed hard and cried hard.. This is more melodramatic novel based on history than a documentary. Better if this series cut to 2 seasons between end of Xuande era and the era under Empress and Zhengtong
It's my first time watching Higashino keigo's in Chinese version. The production is very good with some Chinese elements. I really like Zhu Ya Wen as a main lead. His voice only is so thrilling. I was a bit confused with the Mafia and skipped romance dialogue.

I dropped this one in the early eps idk many times already..but this time I will give it a try till ep 20
2022 and I must say this is still the best Cdrama I'd ever watched. Maybe it will confuse you in couple of first episodes with many characters without proper introduction but it is a good way to keep the pace.

Because this is an old production no high tech effect in this series but nothing on screen looks cheap.
I actually like business drama and hate romance in it. But in this drama I loved to see scene between male lead and female lead more. The foundation of business drama is not strong enough.

I think this series is overrated. I tried 2-3 times watching this series but I could not stand of their acting, especially the male leads. The cinematography is also not okay. The drama gained its popularity because the male leads are idols and it sells BL. The animation is okay for me, especially the music. But for drama, there are many Chinese dramas better than this.

Some of actors being changed in 2nd season such as the Main Lead, that make some fans dislike it. I am okay for the Male lead but some other character lost their charm by changing the actors/actresses. The first season ending is good and not cliffhanger. But if you curious about Long Qing Prince, Xiling vs the academy/Tang, or Son of the Hades's live, you should continue to 2nd season.
