Okay guys, I’m actually “just” a K-drama fan. Absolutely.
But for some reason, I watched this series “live,” and I have to honestly say, I’m already on my third rewatch.
I don’t really know Chinese history that well, but honestly, who cares?
A drama is made to entertain us, nothing else. The way they speak, what they say, the clothes they wear, how they’re styled or made up… it really doesn’t matter as long as it all fits together.
It just needs to serve its purpose: to entertain us drama watchers and let us enjoy the story. That’s it. Period.
I always say: if you like it, watch it. If not, no one is forcing you.
But please, be kind enough not to destroy the work of so many people who put effort into this (or any other) drama with your stupid comments.
And yeah, by now we all know how much actors have to do and learn to make things look “real.” So for that alone, just let it be. And for the whole team behind it.
So yeah, like I said, I’m on my third rewatch, and I think there will be more.
Because I watch dramas to enjoy them. That’s it.

Everyone needs to see this!!!! 1&2

This is my first Taiwanese series, and I am completely overwhelmed. I felt every single moment deeply. I can’t even properly describe how I feel. It is, excuse the expression, a beautiful story. Very sad, yet very beautiful. And somehow, not sad at all. I don’t even fully understand it myself.

It left a very strong and interesting impression on me. I will think about it for a long time, but it doesn’t weigh on me emotionally. In the end, it remains a beautiful story for me. Despite everything.

Thank you to everyone who made this. It was an experience that made my life feel richer.

Sorry, but I feel I need to respond to your review, because I don't think it's fair. If you don't like the series, that's totally fine — just move on. But writing such a harsh review doesn't do justice to the entire team who worked so hard on this project.

If it's simply not your taste, that's okay. You can always find something else that suits you better.

Personally, I really loved it and enjoyed every minute from start to finish.

Just as a side note: a drama or movie is something to experience — to let the story pull you in, no matter what it's about. I’ve watched around 700 series so far, and I always try to immerse myself in each one without comparing them to others. Out of all of those, maybe only two didn’t suit me — but I would never leave such a negative review.

And let’s be honest: Lee Joon Gi is not the kind of actor who would take part in a bad drama.

So instead of your one-star review, I give this drama a full 10 stars!
I absolutely loved it!

This was the first and so far the only K-drama that was interesting from the first to the last second and completely captivated me. Thank you so much for these wonderful eight weeks!
