It happens to all kinds of dramas. For instance, you watch at least three Cdramas from each genre ie. wuxia, historical, modern etc. and you can basically predict where most storylines are going. The same happens to Kdramas.... you watch at least ten of them and they basically become altered repetitions. It all comes down to watching periodically because all shows bear similarities. The same is also the case to Western shows and even Latin America tv programs. All of them usually include the obvious tropes that are unique to that culture/regional storytelling (The distinct features of Kdramas, Cdramas, Western shows, etc) if you understand what I mean. After a while, nothing seems new anymore and you lose the desire to vigorously keep up with new shows. Thus, as the article pointed out, the charm maybe 'reduces' or 'withers'. Remember, most new things feel good until the newness ends and you start to notice the disadvantages (In this case, similarities between plot lines and cliches).
There is something about this drama from the first two episodes that feels refreshing...Iam not sure what it is..but…
as @marishhiii has pointed out, I feel like I have watched two episodes of something confusing-I can't figure out where the next episodes will take us. I have been watching Kdramas for years and I can say I always have some clue to where the story will take the audience. The ML is kinda happy FL is going to die then all of a sudden he can't look away when FL is talking to the 2nd ML during the Hercyn event. I feel like there's so much more we are yet to see. I just hope the writers keep up the good job else this drama may turn out to be a drag
I don't think I'm alone in saying Yang Juran did not deserve the stomach cancer scenario. It's too cruel just like the FL in her first life. It looks like the FL's fate has been transferred to Yang Juran. It will be interesting to see how the next episodes will unfold. But expect a storm in the form of the next episodes. The previous episodes (2-11) were the calm before the storm. FL will be heartbroken because things are not turning out the way she expected.
A positive step although it seems too late. Everyone needs to be responsible for what they do to others, in this case, celebrities and the cancel culture-bullying. However, I'm worried about the Knetizens' behavior because even if their points are implemented, it is hard to quantify their success in mitigating similar incidents. I wish the South Korean film industry were just like Hollywood where those facing allegations of drug use undergo a normal investigation without persecution by the public.
I am so curious how can they bring this one to life. And how can they put all of it into 40 episodes unless it’s…
You are correct. Her management did us a disservice, especially in 2023. Compared to dramas in prior years, this year's script choices were terrible. If not for her popularity, I don't know if fans would watch. I get there a lot of interests involved while casting someone of Reba's popularity but the script should not insult viewers. I don't believe there were no better scripts than the one we have seen this year. Anyway, the management must do better because her drama appearances are becoming scarce. When she decides to work on a drama project, they should give us something captivating with decent script/story, production, directing, acting etc..

Sometimes I think being too famous is a double-edged sword. When someone like Reba stars in a drama I feel like some writers just become lazy and assume that people will watch garbage writing because the actors/actresses are famous. It is painful to watch something you know could have been better with good writing. That's how I felt watching LOA and Prosecution Elite, although the genres are a bit different. With a decent script, she always delivers great acting.
30 eps and 5 days with taking breaks from work then finally getting chance to watch the drama. So the drama ending…
For me, it was disappointing as well. So basically, we watched a dream from ep 1 to mid-30. Plus, the ending relegated the drama to "just okay". Doesn't matter what anyone thinks, this is just my opinion, feel like they wasted my time.
I think you got confused. The imperial/Emperor family did not executed the 300 kids. It was Lord Pingan (the rebels).…
Great point. It almost feels as if ZZ considers himself faultless and arrogant that he is always right which makes him oblivious to the injustices happening to other people. As you said, he is busy obsessing over the fl instead of being impartial. For instance, he know the xie family framed the yan family but there is nothing he can do given the imperial command.
Idk about you guys but today ZZ annoyed me so much today, he is a great guy, but man sometimes I just want to…
I'm afraid for him. Xie wei may go dementia again and decide to kill him. He is getting more ruthless each day. However, the ZZ character is becoming an annoyance at this point.
not only ningning, I was so scared of xie wei too. guyy his psycho facial expressions is on another levelllllll.…
For me, it's not the hotness. I find the expressions too good for that specific part. Makes the coming episodes and xie wei's character development interesting.
I hope it stays a hardcore revenge plot with no mercy for the wicked (LY Group and its evil owners). There should be no softness in the revenge just like Vincenzo. On a lighter note, Seo Yea Ji is nailing her character. It does not matter what scandals she had in the past...her acting is superb and honestly everybody makes mistakes. Looking forward to this.
