that's my expectation ofcourse. i expect that from a fictional story, cause it's more entertaining to me. why would they have to change story for a viewer like me? they just have to accept that the story wont be in line with some group of viewers like me, and that group also might show their dissatisfaction, or write it.

and why you want me not to respond? 🤨 do you think that i would get some kind of enlightenment in watching a drama after this discussion/banter/difference of opinion?

not every viewers watch a drama after reading the novel. most get the story just from the drama, like me, because that's what we intend, to watch not to read. i get it that in real life love can change anytime for many reasons. but i just don't like to see it in an fictional world like a drama, where I have expectation everything is better from reality, anything can be idealized, since it's just a fiction. ML is supposed to be the first choice since, well, he's MAIN for a reason. i am looking for entertainment, not a reflection. to be fair, i just have specific objective when loking for drama to watch, and maybe it's different from another viewers.

so, why then in rebirth she says it's only the ML she ever loved?. i don't know about the original novel, but i didn't get a romantic vibe of FL toward SML in PA, more like sympathy because of the situation. it would be less irritating if FL really show clear romantic feeling to the SML, so we can consider the ML as a rebound. but, still, its not quite entertaining to watch supposedly ML as a second choice or fallback.

sorry,i don't think SML is her first love, more like a companion in a same struggling or surviving situation. but the writer or director just keep the ambiguity for too long, not for entertaining reason i believe.

i don't understand why blame the actors/actresses. the director was there to direct it. if the shot doesn't come out as intended, he/she could direct it (since it's his/her job) and ask to take another shot. the screenwriter was there too. he/she is responsible for what lines to deliver, and where the plot goes. Anything which not quite right with a production, I prefer to rant it toward the director first. the screenwriter is the second. but never the actors/actresses.

the synopsis starts with 'ML is hostilevto FL'. what a suprise !!

for me, as a 'not looking for over complicated dramatic forced to be difference' drama viewer, if the drama includes romance, i want to see the FL spends more time with supposedly ML, rather than being touchy-touchy most of the time with supposedly SML. It really ruins the enjoyment of watching it. goes from entertainment to irritainment ... or annoyingment

i think it's ''i am not cdrama screenwriter''. won't be fair for another country drama if it's generalized.

i think Tong Zhou is the most sensible of all when he speaks for some viewers at ep 12, ''no one s here for this depressing play''. he gains self-aware from fictional character to an unsatisfied viewer. FL's stubbornness goes from 'it s understandable' to 'it s acceptable' to 'does it still make sense?' to 'isnt it too much?' to ' isnt it too long?' to ' is it still entertainment?' to ' that's it . im dtpping it' - i'm just venting, not spreading negativity intentionally -

sorry, i just dropped 3 cdrama in 2 weeks because of same reason. i feel like i have to vent

yeah, i'm stopping now. it's bad for my low tolerance of cdrama tropes. i was looking for entertainment that's entertaining so i can be entertained. not some treatment for low blood pressure.

if you don't have have a solid plot, please don't make a drama. you're making too many dramas that fresh idea/trope/plot just jump out of the window. throwing in popular actors/actresses doesn't make the messy better. love triangle again and again, pushing main leads against each other throat again and again. past blood-debt again and again. stubbornness and denial again and again. just add amnesia, noble idiocy and exaggerated misunderstanding/miscommunication/misidentity/mistiming, then we have a party.

After ep 10 ''lets make the main leads go against each other and drag it for 2-3-4 eps before reconciliation'', i quite like ep 12 with tong zhou dialogue ''no one s here for this depressing play''. i think the fictional character just become self-aware about the how plot goes.

oo, but all that reasons make me hate a (c)drama as a whole. i can't help myself not to compare dramas from different countries (read : kdrama vs cdrama). One produces less drama, but more selective in choosing the story to present as a drams, less repetitive formula and setup. the other one produces too many dramas that's they (are forced to ?) mix-n-match old ingredients then present it with different toppings ... and plates.

i'm a kind of hater (not particularly for this drama, this drama is quite good for me). but not toward any actors/actresses. it's toward director's choices, writer's diligence/laziness, and the amount of cliches used, repetable setup and formula to build a story for the sake of making a drama/or fulfill OTT's demand.

that's how most multi-angel starts, especially in cdrama, again and again. (unintentional) flirting /leading masked in form of loyality, or innocent, or insensitive, or gullible, or indifference. but most of times it leads to same destination, our ''favorite'' love multi-angle trope. maybe i speak too soon because i'm just at ep 6. I jus don't like cheap love triangle set up.

i'm on eps 6. she creates her own love multi-angel. yeah, it's ''fun to watch'' ... NOT.
