I think they didn't reveal before the release that this will have another season because they wanted the viewers to stay hooked wondering how it would end, whether there's will be a proper conclusion or it will end on a cliffhanger. They probably didn't want them to have a preconceived notion about the ending

I loved the first 4 eps except the ending of 4th ep. As long as they don't drag out that survival game trope I'll continue with this. What i expect from this drama is for ml to anyhow get out of the prison and seek vengeance; play mind games with the villain, collect evidence, ruin his plans, torment him and not just be a source of entertainment for An yohan and play his stupid survival games. That is not what I signed up for.
