Honestly I'm not a paragraph person i only write when something leaves a really deep impression on me to the point that i have to put my thoughts into words. So the fact that I'm sitting here and typing all this says a lot
As someone who has read the webtoon this adaptation has exceeded my expectations. Kim young jung deserves an award for choosing and playing this character soooo well π€π₯
Baek Ahjin absolutely BLEW me away! The way she manipulates people so smoothly is insane. You can't tell when she's real and when not. I've read the webtoon so I thought I knew what to expect but WOW the first 4 eps had my heart racing the entire time. I know I shouldn't root for her especially after knowing all the twisted things she's done and ( much worse) will do later but I can't help but keep getting excited to see what she's going to do next. It legit feels like I'm one of the characters getting manipulated by her π She has this DARK magnetic energy that keeps pulling you in even though you know it's a dark hole you are falling into. I'm so looking forward to the ending and I seriously hope we get a season 2 (if it ends the same way as the webtoon)
Tbh I really do not understand why a man would feel intimidated if his girlfriend earns more. For centuries women have never felt ashamed when their men earned more than them. So now that times have changed and women are getting equal opportunities to go out and achieve success, instead of feeling proud of your partner's achievements, you feel small? That's such a narrow and outdated perspective.Every relationship should be built on mutual respect, not a comparison of paychecks.
And one of the male contestants said he wants to be the one who is the "head of the household" like cmon this is 21st century you can't have a man as the head of the household holding all the the reins while others are expected to follow. This is such a patriarchal mindset. There needs to be some balance. Both husband and wife should stand at equal ground and make major decisions together.
I'm swooning over mujin and bonhee π The chemistry between them is really good but the age gap might be too big. What if this is the pair with 12 year gap?
