"women are women's worst enemies" That's bullshit. That's just another way society shifts the blame back on women instead of addressing the system that pits women against each other.
Take for example the concubines of a king planning and plotting against each other. Do you think they do all that out of some natural hatred for women? No, they do it because they are trapped in a system where their survival and security depend on how much power do they have ultimately competing for a man's approval. The real enemy aren't women its the structure that forces them into rivalry!
yeah I saw those comments and quickly blocked them. Sigh.
So you don't have any problem with what has been shown in this drama but with the term "feminism" being used for equality in general? Did I understand that right?
Then you'll need to know the origin of the word (fun fact: If you do a little reasearch on etymology of this word you'll know it was actually first used for men). Feminism was used for group of movements and ideologies that emerged in 18th century. This word was used instead of equality because it was primarily focused on fixing the unfair treatment women were facing at that time ( and still are). End goal is same that is equality for everyone but the word FEMINISM acknowledges the denial of rights, unfair treatment that women have been facing, how the ways of the world have had negative consequences on the progress and development of women just like how years of exploitation under colonialism pushed back the development of many countries. That's why till this date the word feminism is used to promote equality between the sexes .

I don't know why so many people equate Feminism with the idea of superiority of women over men. This is really disturbing. Feminism in most simple terms just means EQUALITY of the sexes.
People should really first learn the actual meaning of the term FEMINIST before throwing it around carelessly. It's funny how they conveniently overlook scenes where women are portrayed as villain but the moment when men do the same and they are given the taste of their own medicine they start spewing "this is feminist" bullshit. The meaning of feminist is so twisted in some people's dictionary as if being feminist is something one needs to be ashamed of.
Also.... the cuts are way too abrupt. It feels like just to give everyone some screentime they keep jumping from one character's scene to another which kills any tension or momentum that couldve been built up. Tbh you shouldn't go for such a big lineup if you can't provide proper screentime and background for each character. If things keep going like this Im sure future episodes will be filled with plot holes because of weak world building and lack of solid backstory.
Why arent they explaining anything?? I had no idea what that high priest the one who awakened ogwi was even talking about. They could have at least added a small caption at the bottom left for the characters he mentioned with PHS. I dont know much about Korean mythology so I was expecting a little context at least in ep 2. What a shame! I was really looking forward to phs's first antagonist role but I think I'll stop here.
hmmm... the video teaser has got nothing to do with the actual drama's plot..the teaser video is a commercial…
Waittttt. You got it all wrong. I'm not one of those who were offended by the teaser. I said all that because of the synopsis of this drama, previous dramas of the director and last few dramas of young dae and sun bin
Lee sun bin and Kim young dae aren't really interested in choosing better scripts, are they? *smh*
Edit: I'm not one of those who were offended by the teaser. I said all that because of the synopsis of this drama, previous dramas of the director and last few dramas of young dae and sun bin.
Until now I thought ml must have been the one who asked for divorce because she aborted their baby without discussing it with him. But wow! Turns out she was the one who asked for divorce because she fell out of love? Because their marriage wasn't as passionate as it was in the beginning? This just proves how much she took everything for granted for life particularly ml and his feelings. I'm glad ml FINALLY severed all ties with her
Just realised this drama has only 8 eps. That's all the more reason they should have done a better job with the opening ep. Plus in this genre first ep shouldn't be this dull.
I was honestly expecting this drama to kick off with a bang but the first episode left me hella confused. It felt like I was just dropped right into the middle of the plot. Same thing happened when I watched Good Boy. But the cast in Twelve is way too tempting... i guess I'll give it at least one more episode before deciding whether to stick with it or drop it.
