I kinna agree with you there. There romance was my least favorite part of the novel and I didn't care much for it. But they did succeed in making me feel sad for them, though.

Of course, Yan He should! I cried on his chapters and he only appear in the later chapters. Him and his wife are couple goals, tbh. I love them together so much. Personally, I also think Liu Buwang and the princess should have one. Their chance at love was stolen from them for the greater goods. While I really pity HYX, I hope she will survive but live for herself. I don't think CZ will be able to give her the love that she needs.

it's always the cold and quiet ones that moves and surprises us with their secret. Before the drama airs, I tried to keep expectation low since I knew they were changing some thing. I told myself that as long as they kept the essence of the story and character, I'll be fine. So with the last two episodes, they did just that. Fantastic job to the production group. i love it

Voice actors dubbed for the dramas, as there are many dialects in China so it's standard for professional dubbers to be hired. These days, lots of great actors/actresses dubbed their own drama but not all of them.

Edit: I just realized I read your comment wrong, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if Audio drama dubbers dubbed dramas too.

she did! with Mu Mu, the voice actor who's also a police officer. lol. They have a bickering relationship that's so much fun to read. I wish the author had written more for them. Here's my favorite snippet of them from the book:

The vacation where Toupai “settled” Sheng Sheng, on an island somewhere. Mu Mu had just finished a shower and stepped out in only his underwear. The sliding door to the balcony was suddenly pulled open by Dou Dou Dou Bing. “…… AH!!!!” Mu Mu frowned. Dou Dou Dou Bing eyed him up and down several times. “I feel like I need to take responsibility for seeing you like this…” Mu Mu continued to frown and then yanked Mo Bai, who was still toweling himself dry and had not put on any clothing yet, from the washroom. “You’ve seen both of us now, so you don’t have to take any responsibility…” Dou Dou Dou Bing shrieked and fled from there…

well, there are actually more than a few. FL's male cousin and an employee who works at their store, and happens to be a big fan of ML and follows their romance online. So imagine her surprise and luck to actually meet her idols and get to watch their romance blooms. lol. then there's a married couple who's part of the VA world and is friends with ML. there's also a romance blossoming between two other voice actors as well. so five couples total.

ML's roomate and FL's best friend/dormmate Xiao Xing. Like FL, she fell in love with his voice too. they befriended each other online and helps set up the two leads together.

The first few episodes takes is slow but it'll pick up after.

totally agree. The heart of this drama/story is romance, friendship, growth. when i saw that girl threatening her in bathroom in the trailer, my heart sunk. is it really hard to just stick to the original story?
